I mean he couldn't possibly know how aggressive some people get over defending SC could he?

Someone that gets payed to writte about something should know a bit or 2 about what is writting, thats the minimum you could ask.

But should make someone understand and be more comprehensive about it, cause you know, its for a better game, not just for the sake of "cashin'in" as was written.

I am a citizen but not a backer so I am one of the missing citizens and it looks like I will be missing for a while longer.

Just tried the free trial. Installer downloaded and then it failed the game load because my c++ 2010 redistribution is later than the version required by SC.

If they can't deal with that dependency for a beta, imagine what fun they'll have trying to develop a Linux version.

Heck, imagine what fun they'll have trying to develop without Visual Studio :D

Had a trawl through the SC forums - apparently you ignore the error and the download still happens!!! I did that and now it wants a 5 hour download on my 150 megabit download stream.

I suppose there's only so much you can bleed out of a stone. It's about time their backers started closing their wallets. I did that ages ago with SC. I suppose the next stage in this will be more of them saying "when's the beta starting?"
