If you cannot play because your character is a ball of light :S fear not. In order to fix it, you maybe lucky enough to have your account reset.

If the bug is widespread and the support team can't cope, then say that it why they will do it only once.

Saying its a courtesy allowing you to play a game you backed is terrible.

Perhaps this is what CR meant when he said he would treat the backers with the same respect he would a publisher.

That always makes me lol.

If we take it literally he seems to have a poor opinion of publishers - oops!

Funny thing is, he is well known for having no respect for publishers who limited his vision and grand schemes, and if it wasn't for the eeeebilll publishers then Freelancer would have been his magnum opus and the BDSSE, they just lack the vision to see projects like this through... and oh, by the way, all you backers, I'll treat you like you are publishers. :D

I apologise up front for this being a tad off topic, but it is allied to the ongoing concern here about how crowd-funding monies might be used in a manner that could be said to be inappropriate by an 'ordinary backer'.

"Irregular Use of Proceeds"
  • We might incur Irregular Use of Proceeds that may include but are not limited to the following over $10,000: Vendor payments and salary made to one's self, a friend or relative; Any expense labeled "Administration Expenses" that is not strictly for administrative purposes; Any expense labeled "Travel and Entertainment"; Any expense that is for the purposes of inter-company debt or back payments.

My only (vague) hope is that this was supposed to be a humorous 'dig'. The reaction suggests not.

I could have started playing ED during the alpha/beta stages, but i just do not have time to be a 'free' playtester. I wonder how many here that DID get involved with ED at that stage have tried the same in SC, or is it impossible to be an ED fan and interested in SC?

It would be great to see actual feedback from the SC alpha here instead of cheap-shots perhaps? Once Squadron 42 (the off line sp bit) is available i will certainly give it a go and post feedback, to better help other gamers.

Asp Explorer and a couple of people have tried it to varying degrees of satisfaction. I'd say those degrees spanned from "It's a total mess" to "It can be a bit fun but there's no actual game and it's buggy."

It would be great if people asked questions without an incorrect cheap shot at the end.

Strewth - they really are turning up the heat on those backer wallets..

$25k legatus - g lol!

I backed Star Citizen, and almost didn't back Elite because I'd already spent a lot on a space game, and initially the Elite kickstarter campaign was rather underwhelming.

I played every alpha of Star Citizen to see if it would improve, but it never did.

Finally, I can no longer play the Star Citizen alpha, because I demanded a refund late last year due to having no faith in them ever delivering what they promised.

If you can't take the cheap shots, don't stick your head above the sandbags.

i thought this was a joke, how sad....

how much does the f8 treatment cost ?

It's apparently for those who has already spent between 10K to 25K USD so it's hardly something to aspire for.

So if someone has already spent 20 grand adding a 150-200 USD ship for free is a drop in the sea.

From the new schedule, am I to understand that the BMM has dropped entirely from the 2018 schedule? :/

No idea, but unless it should feature in SQ42 they might as well push it forward.
