The "Waaah, My System Was Taken!" Thread

OK. Here are my suggestions:

Relay Station: +1 security, +1 development. Needed for security station.
Security Station: +8 security, +3 standard of living, +2 development.
Space Farm: +5 standard of living, +1 development.
Medical Installation (Space Hospital): +3 tech level, +5 standard of living.
Communications Satellite: +1 security, +3 tech level.
Satellite: +1 wealth, +1 standard of living, +1 development.
Government Station: +4 standard of living, +2 security, and +2 development.

That gives you:

+12 security, +7 development, +18 standard of living, +6 tech level, and +1 wealth for your entire system.

With no negatives.

Well on the way to completing that list. Apart from the Ind outpost and currently building an asteroid port, I have the relay station, security station and space farm. I also have a mining outpost. After the asteroid port I was going to try and set up refining capacity, but I may build your suggestions.

If I may, since youre actually doing that, to extend building from your main build in your system do you have to go thru the colonisation office again or just click on a plus where ever you want to build from there and start bringing in materials, do you get an option to call the colonisation ship I would imagine as well?

In the system map for anything after the initial port, click on the plus for space builds. Each body also lists how many things can be build on each, not done surface yet, but should be a click there.

Oh okay, so then if I have an asteroid belt and if the system allots for it I may be able to add an asteroid base there possibly then and just go from there to build it; I take it the colonisation ship shows up or do I have to go thru the colonisation office for the colonisation ship?

Well done. I started with an industrial outpost placed by the game. Not the best spot. I'm going to build a military outpost for more security, and a Coriolis, since it has the least drawbacks. Building those space installations gives you lots of Tier 2 points to spend. I'm holding off on the surface building until I know more on how they effect the economy.
 
And HR 8778 is now mine! (on my alt) Sorry to anybody else who'd been building out toward it but after building a chain of outposts, 13 in total (14 if a sidetrack toward the earlier mentioned HIP is counted), sometimes 2 a day on my own or with a little assistance from a friend here and there (but mostly it was me). I may also have enlisted said friend to reduce the likelihood of a sniper striking by having them complete the last delivery while I waited in supercruise and drop distance to the new outpost as soon as it popped up. DBX so I didn't suffer a pad hogger NPC immediately appearing on a new station that hasn't been up long enough to dock and get into the hangar.

Why so many outposts? Well, I just made my life harder than it had to be by not using the 'squadron bring along faction' feature and the closest station with that faction I wanted (no offense to Canonn) was Daibamba [155 ly between them, or around that]. I may also have lost more than some sanity during the endeavor because now I will be building an Orbis station. As the first thing in the system. By myself. (If no other generous players show up.) But I want to spend some time actually building something up than worrying about other players potentially arriving at a good location with 41 orbital and 30 planetary build slots and decent planet selection. Totally going to custom name this thing. I should have the free time to complete it, but sleep first for tonight. And I'm not sure what to use the 148k C star for yet.

... also mild initial concern when the colonization ship's arrival was announced but it showed up only a few minutes after the fact along with the beacon in my nav panel. Screenshots taken as contingency measure... should the claim happen to disappear.

Might also eventually return to those locations I had to pass through. Some of those are earmarked with good development opportunities too, should no Thargoids or other force wreck them. First things first is repaying those favors I asked, though.
