Engineering a Jump range increase…..
Optimised mass ^4% ????????????
Does this actually mean a reduction in mass of 4% ?Why does is the data presented as ^4% ? That looks like my mass is going up ?
Why has this got to be so confusing FD ?
What’s wrong with simply saying:
Current range = 21.14 ly
With this upgrade = 21.67 ly
Why are you so bad at presenting data FD ?
This is pretty much the same idea as Thrusters.
These might sounds like a bit more professionalish but it is as silly as it gets.
Thrusters and FSD basically work like they have to take account into your ship's hull and cargo and stuffs that weighs (modules, weapons...).
Funny though I don't think cargo actually helps ramming... Maybe someone brought 792T cargo in a Cutter then tell me the results.

There is a page existing for thruster matters but I can keep things shorter for you.

They work like a ratio between optimal mass/ship mass or vice versa.
Every thruster has an optimal mass, if you are
lighter than that number, faster (output x Maximum multiplier);
same, normal (output x Optimal multiplier, usually 1);
heavier, slower (output x Minimum multiplier).
FSD works quite similar. Larger optimal mass means further because further from optimal.
I think they are just sticking with the modules information... Optimal Mass... Multiplier... very mathematicish.
