Every commander should try Elite in VR. It is the difference between playing a game and being inside of a spaceship.

I thought it would be a novelty that I likely would use a little but then default back to monitors (3 monitors with trackIR) most of the time. Instead I have never played with a monitor again.

[up] Finish the grind all the way to KING and ADMIRAL ranks.

I wonder how many CMDRs ever accomplish this currently useless goal? There should be an award, like a big, flashy "Crown" decal for KING or "Lion Rampant" decal for ADMIRAL.

Well I'm Currently Playing on ps4 I'm currently grinding to get the Corvette my current rank is L.T. Commander But I might stop the grind because I'm building a high end rig and I'm joining the master race! and ranks don't transfer over so I would have to grind all over again on the better platform :)

Engage in a pvp wingfight with un engineered viper mk3s. NO SEEKERS ALLOWED!! :D

Wow I had a thought about Voyager months ago whether you could find these in game, never realised you actually could,.

I spent a LONG time trying to find them but never did. tips appreciated!

Also, here's something CMDRs should try - fly around the cosmos in such a way that your EDSM flight map looks like a piece of childish graffiti

It's a nice idea although sadly it'll get mostly trapped with the road of others. Nontheless, it would be visible from your own map :D

Go to Dav's Hope, park your SRV just outside the entrance gate, then try to drive around collecting all 10 materials and get back to the entrance gate in under 50 seconds.

FWIW, the only real "tip" I have is to use a ship which allows you to position yourself perpendicular to a target, open your left HUD and then fly in loops (in SC) while keeping your target in view.

Aaannd... I suspect that makes very little sense so here's some pictures:-

So, here's me (flying an AspX) targeting LHS 20A.

Now I turn so I'm perpendicular to the star, ready to start flying in a big loop, in the hope of finding something that is this distance from the star.

In that position I can look to my left and see that the target is just behind my left thruster pod.

Now I can pull up my left HUD (so I'll see when a new POI appears in the nav panel), start flying in a loop and as long as I keep my target somewhere near the same position, behind the thruster pod, I know my ship is oriented roughly as it needs to be.
I can also see the distance to the target and I can adjust that with the rudder controls while using the stick to fly in loops.

And, if that's telling you nothing you didn't already know, I apologise for try to tell you how to suck eggs. :p

In unrelated news, another thing everybody should do at least once is to dust off an old, rarely-used ship and fly it for a couple of days.
I spent last night doing stuff in my old Keelback and it really is a terrific little ship. :D

Not checked for a while but always wanted to land at Tranquility Base. Hope they add that with the Q4 planetary upgrade.
