This is what I got for 2.5 hours of mining

I think whoever does certain activities now just for ARX has totally missed the rationale behind the free ARX idea.
Exploring what activity gives how much ARX - out of curiosity - is one thing, but playing the game exclusively just for ARX now is downright pervers. ARX doesn't even need to be "balanced", it just shouldn't be all too imbalanced to not lure players into exactly that position where they start doing things just for ARX farming. As of yet I don't see such a gross imbalance.
But I demand a fair recompensation for me playing that game. I'm entitled to get my 400 ARX for mining!

If I was playing for Arx as some important goal I would reconsider the game I was playing.
This would not be a problem with FDev or the game but a problem with me.

After 2.5 hours of mining and selling the minerals. Frontier, this is not "free ARX". This is an insult.

I don't feel rewarded for playing. I feel mocked.

I understand the need for funds for continuous development, as I have spent a considerable amount of money on the game in the past 4+ years. But this system is not an incentive to play. It's essentially mocking players when they exit their session. If you really think 2-3 hours of daily gameplay is worth this much then you simply don't understand how these systems should work. 400 ARX per week is low enough as it is, clearly not breaking your bank. At least let us reach it with normal, active gameplay. Make it an incentive, an encouragement to play. Or remove this insulting system completely.

When I give a gift to someone, I want it to be meaningful, regardless of financial value. But I wouldn't give a box of toothpicks as a gift. The current system feels exactly like that.
Ah yes, so you want AND 300 mil income per hour AND a big amount of arx... right.

I only got about 40 Arx from piracy last night.

Don't care, it was fun.
How dare you! Reported!

That's not how the game should be balanced, though. Through fake currency.
Why not? Its a low risk job.

Well, if the OP spend 40 Mil of that profit then they can max their ARX using the other sources pretty fast, so it is possible. But it's not really 'just play the game' any more. fdev have rebalanced the sources at least twice so far since it launched and one obvious area that still seems broken is trade, so it may well happen soon.

Of course they will probably destroy all trade at the same time - but that's a price the OP has said they are willing to pay, so bring it on! :)

Unsurprisingly, people have different priorities. No doubt there are expenses that you feel are entirely reasonable, than plenty of people who have spent 400 Euro on a game would balk at.

Being willing to drop 20 Euro on something you feel is a waste sounds far more irrational to me than being willing to drop 400 Euro on something that one does not see as a waste.

I did it because the game cost me very cheap and I'm enjoying it, what does it have to do with it? the arx are still intact, why do you do this all the time? by a +like??it's as if you dedicate more to the forum than to the game itself, how ridiculous ...
about spending on cosmetics, it's still ridiculous,in any game, and as dumb players have normalized it ...and please ,save yourself from keeping the server ... i play alone when i have time,its not miy real life,I bought the game thinking that one day they would do it offline because I read it, so I don't care

it's my opinion and if you don't like it for me you can continue shopping, it doesn't affect me ,it benefits me

@OP - you need to git gud at mining

I got 35 arx for my 2h session of mining, that also netted me 283 millions credits - actually the net was 255 millions, that npc crew of mine is quite happy i guess.
3 kills were involved too and some 7 jumps.

cosmetics = waste
buy game = no waste

do you get it that way?
some of you become very ingenious just because it seems so,I would like to know what the purpose is of these answers, because you didn't even understand my point

I suggest FD takes 5 Arx from every player and gives it to the OP since he is evidently very special
I would propose this correction to the formula in your algorithm subroutine:

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
{
int main()

//This subroutine determines Arx player entitlement

int ArxThatEntitledOPIsEntitled;
int AverageArxPerCmdr; // a predetermined variable which value is based on the weekly 400 Arx max per Cmdr
int NumberCmdrsSharingTheWealth;
int EveryPlayer = N; //where N is number of online Cmdrs at OP login
int LanceLord = 1;
bool OPOnlineStatus;

if(OPOnlineStatus == true) //check if OP is online atm

{
NumberCmdrsSharingTheWealth = EveryPlayer - LanceLord

ArxThatEntitledOPIsEntitled = NumberCmdrsSharingTheWealth * AverageArxPerCmdr
}
.
.
more subroutine blocks of code
.
.
//This is the subroutine block that displays OP earned Arx. This block updates the value for the "Other" category in the OP's Arx display window

cout << "TRADE : 1 " << endl;
cout << "EXPLORATION : 6 " << endl;
cout << "OTHER : " << ArxThatEntitledOPIsEntitled << endl;

return 0;
}

LanceLord is one Yankee who does NOT do Socialism

Free arx limit is obviously set at a quite high level. Getting 400 a week is hard. OP's 2.5 hours is certainly not going to cut it.
You get more for playing longer, but in a couple of hours, I haven't yet got more than about 20-30.
It makes sense and remember, whatever you get it's for free.

I still think arx are a waste, I'd prefer to pay for things directly, with money, then I know what they cost.

I used to play a game where I know a few people spent over ten grand (real-world money) on in-game currency. Thing is, it depends on 1) how much money you have to start with and 2) what else you have to spend it on. If you're on £250k a year and have relatively few hobbies, spending ten grand on a game probably isn't going to mean your kids are missing meals or your missus is dressed in rags, at which point it's a value judgement for the individual based on how much enjoyment they get from what they spend.

I mean I wouldn't do it myself but then I'm not in the position that I described above.

This. When PES20 released some weeks ago within a few hours someone had a pretty decent all-star team. He paid $1500 for it. Fast forward three weeks and my current team is better than his was then, without paying a cent. Seems like a massive waste to me, but if that is what he wants to do with his money...

I typically hit the cap in like 4-5 hours. It’s not that crazy

Free Arx are not a reward, neither is it about Frontier's generosity. It's there to "trick" you into spending money, that's it.

If you are playing to gather a lot of Arx you are doing it wrong and wasting your time. You won't be able to get a lot of Arx for free in a meaningful time. Wait half a year before you take another look at your Arx balance or buy some.
