I will again explain this so people like you can understand the issue here.
The issue is that players can buy two extra accounts and use them to give themselves the two extra pips for fights. Why is this an issue you ask? Because these accounts couldn't fight in an normal ship as there's no one using them, and because someone could set out with this in mind build their ship to run an extreme damage build and fly with friends following them into fights cheesing the fight with a build that normally wouldn't work. This is not about three players in one ship vs three players in three ships this is about nine accounts in three ships vs three accounts in three ships.

What we know today is you cant wing together if there is multi crew. Off course several ships can join in one instance and play with extra accounts and pips! But it will be much harder to do so because of no wings. Probably all players are going to have separate ships for single and multiplay (to some degree), nobody wants to join a ship and just sit in it. So those extreme damage builds will be there anyway with players or accounts in them. If players two SLF and a gunner for missiles, if accounts one SLF and no turrets or missiles. So those pips will be there what ever you do but the difference will be one SLF and missiles that can lock 360 degree. (Simplified)
If you meet another ship do it mater so much if he has friends in it or just extra accounts? Probably it will show the commanders that is represented in the ship so you know in a staged fight what you are up to.
If you fly solo you can decline the fight if he not kick the other players. If you have a real crew you can let him demonstrate if he flyes with no turrets and only one SLF...
If not staged and you do not know what is going to interdict you, it can be a super build or a vanilla build, what you know is If it is a multicrew ship that will not get reinforcement.
Personally i do not think it will make a gigantic difference because things that make a PVPer good is;
1. Knows how to fight and use the ship
2. Has time to engineer and get money for a ship
You cant skip those things with a couple of extra accounts. But if that PVPer that have time and experience buys extra account, yes there i can agree he will be stronger but alone!
In every other aspect then PVP it make no difference if a trader gets some more shield or a Bounty hunter kills ships a little faster. that player could sit another hour a week and get the same money.
