Thoughts on an Exploration based SRV

I would be amazing to have something like hovercraft using skimmers propulsion ... but mainly I would expect to have SRV as real link between ship and cmdr ... like repair, or mining SRV which can be modifedy by on-foot cmdr and then used for work on ships either repairing them or ressuplying. I know, too much potencial, but mostly unusued.
