To the far rim in a Sidey

I went boom once, lost the sole earth like I'd seen on that trip (out of about 1300 systems...). Made a point to go back on the next trip and I couldn't scan it again.

SLYAIKS JG-N C23-1 A 2 remains untagged to this day, if anyone's out in that direction...

ETA - Godspeed Frawd and the Grasshopper 2 :)

Thanks Cmdr...I'll try and head back that way. But if I don't I'll advertise the positions for other cmdrs to find.

+1 for Captains Log; I use it in lazy git mode - simply put text into the System Notes section (ELW, TFWW, TFHMC, GGABL, GGWBL, AW etc). Can be exported to CSV and intention is then to marry entries up with their screenies (planet and sys map). Saves collecting paper notes and, as time stamped, should make the screenie compilation easier....

i looked into captains log, but it required something in one of the ed folders and as far as I could tell, I didn't have the file...not really a "computer" person but the I didn't look very hard either. I will look again as I do like the idea

You're going at a pace here - at one point I thought I might catch you up.

Trying to get back to the scene of my crash as quickly as possible. I scan while I scoop because 2A scooping takes so long. However I don't look at the system, just jump straight out.

where are you iron orchid?

Still heading your way by the way. I'm hoping that meeting someone coming BACK from your destination will spur you on (not that you need it, you complete loon ;) )

Are we getting closer Cmdr? And, no I don't need any inspiration...I am entirely obsessed with making my destination (just ask my wife) :)

Great you're doing this in a sidey, especially for the second time. Might see you around - I reached Sag A yesterday. The plan is now to visit the top of the galaxy and the bottom, then to head to Beagle point.

If you find yourself somewhere near me, just PM me and we'll see if we can arrange a meet-up.
