Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Full-Version [1.5.2] released:

Changelog:
- Added course to location info to the Planetary Map panel.
- Added a picture for the Dolphin ship type.
- Added many missing translations for french and spanish language.
- Fixed a missing Cartography database upgrade.
- Fixed a missing Panel position database upgrade.

Notes:
This full version requires a new installation of TCE and a transfer of the databases from a previous version. Do not install this full version over your old.
Please check here, how to install a new full version, when used an older version before.
1. Rename current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.
If you find an error, please report and use the Report an Error button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in russian, french or spanish, to help in translating the
latest commodities and interface phrases at OneSky.
Thanks in advance.

Elite Dangerous Beta Notes:
To all, who wants to test TCE and the ED beta, I suggest the following:
1. Install a beta-dedicated TCE version to your drive and name it so, like D:\TCE.beta
2. Transfer your database from your current TCE version to the beta-dedicated version by the TCE launcher, if you want to use your current database.
3. Don't forget to select the beta version of ED at the launcher of TCE.
4. After starting TCE, you can ignore or allow to process all unprocessed journal file, because TCE will ignore the non-relevant journals (all non-beta), if you have selected the ED beta in step 3.
5. EDMC is not working in beta, so the Connect button is not usable.

Thank you very much, will try it now .

Edit: problem remains will try updating .net now

Please don't install the actual version over your old version. Install it into a new folder. If you want to use a database from an older version thereafter, transfer it with the launcher. Otherwise, please send my your database by the Report an Error button at the launcher or try reseting the Panel.db file at the database window of the launcher.

two issues at present...

1. getting a lot of .net errors. they pop up middle of screen and take focus away from Elite, leaving you without control... the last two happened in the middle of a dog fight..... whether TCE is visible or not. (everything is uptodate... unless .net doesn't autoupdate in windows)

2. If a planet isn't in the database (and therefore the outpost you land on) , then the "Add to System" for the planet persists. This has the effect of stopping the Auto Destination from working correctly. Is there an easy way to add a planet if it isn't in the database? Going to Cartography is confusing as there's no option to add a planet, just a system.

1. It would be helpful to give some more details from the errors, you encounter. Did you verified your actual database?

2. What "Add to System"? Adding planets is quite simple at the Cartography. First you have to add the star of the system by using "Add Star System" button. When done, you can further add a planet or star to the star system, either by the Database panel itself, where you add a star or planet, or you can select the "Add Planet" button at the Cartography panel.

Ahem.......

All bases belong to us....

Can't follow you...

Yes, database verified ok.

If I have the option for the Planet side minimap turned off (in the options panel) , I get the following .net error when approaching a planetary outpost.

Also noticed that if you have an outpost set to 'Military", TCE does not record the commodities... apart from that, loving it!

.net errors as follows...

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

Yes, database verified ok.

If I have the option for the Planet side minimap turned off (in the options panel) , I get the following .net error when approaching a planetary outpost.

Also noticed that if you have an outpost set to 'Military", TCE does not record the commodities... apart from that, loving it!

Thank you, that will help. I can also report, that I found the bug, where a "False Market" is reported by TCE. The fix today will adress this problem too.

Hi there!

I recently upgraded from 1.4.7 to 1.5.1 and I have used the TRANSFER option import my old database but none of my information is there, my notes are gone, picture, etc. It acts like it imports but I have lost everything it tracked since I started started using TCE MK II. I do love this program and I am one of your supporters :) Could I get a little assistance please? Thanks and keep flying safe!

Update [1.5.2.1] released:

Changelog:
- Fixed an issue with the Connect button, showing "False Market" at markets without a commodity market.
- Fixed an error on planetary flight when the Minimap panel was disabled at the Options panel.
- Fixed an error after registering a location at a planet's surface.

Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, russian or spanish, to help in translating the
latest commodities and interface phrases at OneSky.

Hello, I am glad about the decision that the radar is released again Eventure!

I have a request to them to see if they could set up an input for the planetary landing in their radar display.
The Tipp Off missions represent this challenge.
The guide to these coordinates does not have to be very precise!
It would be a point created by the input in the radar where I can navigate.
It would be enough if I were in the right area to fulfill my mission.

m3TX

PS:
Just to be sure!
I do not mean such an exact execution as with sneak peek sureface by Khelder

Edit:
The second request I would like to introduce to you is:

Whether they could include the subject EDMC, in which private group is the player?
The output of the query, which I had presented in the summary field to place.

I often ask from friend, in which group they must join in order to be able to play with me.

Maybe you forgot to start the transfer?
Here is a guideline, what to do:
1. Select the TRANSFER button and select thereafter the folder of your old TCE version.
2. After TCE scanned all databases, select the START TRANSFER button to start the process.
3. When finished (can take a while), make a verify onto all transferred databases, because they will show all as unverified.
4. When all databases showing "verified", you are ready to go, otherwise TCE found an issue and you have to press the "Repair" button to remove all scanned errors.

You can also find a shadow copy of the imported database at the TDM\DB folder

You can use the Planetary Map to add a surface location. Open it with the MAP button at the Minimap panel.
Then select ADD LOCATION > LANDMARK and place the icon onto the map to enter the LAT/LONG values of your location, you want to reach and SAVE it.
Hover your mouse over the displayed landmark to see the distance and course. Allign your ship course and go into supercruise. When coming closer to the LAT/LONG values drop out of supercruise.
If the landmark is closer than 100km to you, it will be displayed onto your Minimap panel, if not, open the Planetary Map panel again, check course, allign and supercruise until you reach your target.

Sadly, the Journal log doesn't provide the LAT/LONG values for missions, so the location can't be added automatically. The precision (live data) of Khelder's surface navigation isn't possible with the netlog.
TCE get the data from the Netlog file, so it requires some seconds to display the proper heading and it updates every 3km of travel normally.

I raised a thread in the suggestion and bug forum to let Frontier know, more data is required to make something out of it. Please everyone, who is interested in a better surface naviagtion in ED, make a comment into the threads.
Thanks.

I often ask from friend, in which group they must join in order to be able to play with me.

The Journal log holds the info about the active player group. Will add the info to the Personal panel.

SMALL ISSUE:

Game quit to main menu due to connection loss and then TCE threw the error below. Upon continuing and restarting ED the Minimap was shown, as I was around a planet, this has happened twice, both times after the game lossed connection and I just happened to be around a planet. TCE worked fine afterwards without a restart.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Found and fixed the error with the next update coming this weekend.
Thanks for reporting.

Update [1.5.2.2] released:

Changelog:
- Added beta compatibility for ED 1.8/2.3 Beta 2.01.
- Added (beta) auto-update/preselection of distance to star value of a market, when docked.
- Added zoom in/out for the Planetary Map panel.
- Added active player group next to the player name at the Personal panel. Only visible, when in a group.
- Fixed some smaller display issues at the Planetary Map and Minimap panel.
- Fixed some panel cut-offs with low resolution displays.
- Fixed another issue with the Connect button, showing "False Market" at markets without a commodity market.
- Fixed an error when trying to add a rare commodity to a route at the Route Planner panel. The planner is only for regular commodities.
- Fixed an error at the Minimap panel.

Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, russian or spanish, to help in translating the
latest commodities and interface phrases at OneSky.

Appears the TCE Error continues to existing in v1.5.2.2
From JIT Error, appears to be some development leftfovers in the calls? user\hellfire....

No, it's my workspace for TCE and you will see it on every error message. Your problem here is, that the TCE-RelayClient.exe wasn't found to update your database.
Do you have any special character in the path, or changed the TCE-Relay path setting at the TCE Launcher?
What is shown at the TCE.config under "TCE-RelayPath="?
Maybe try to replace the TCE-Relay folder by downloading TCE-Relay from here: https://github.com/flattermann/TCE-Relay/releases

indeed, it was a drive reference error in the tce.config file. fixed!

thx!

Greetings commanders. My software seems to be having issues.

After fully installing and transfering my DB from my old windows install, TCE no longer will connect either when the button is clicked or during docking as per options settings.

This, and EDDI no longer connect nor does cmders log 2 scan bodies correctly.

What did I break?

Is EDMC working alone? What info is shown, when clicked the Connect button?

It looks like there's a bug either in how Windows reports a given screen's resolution or a bug in how TCE reads that resolution. I use the "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" in Display Settings to make things easier to see and read on my 3840x2160 screen. However, TCE then reads that as actually being 1920x1080 and taking scans of just the upper left quarter of my screens resulting in an OCR scan error since it's only getting a small chunk of what it needs.. If I set the Change size slider in Display Settings to 100% and relaunch TCE then it correctly reads the resolution and takes working scans. This is 100% repeatable on my end.

http://tinypic.com/r/2mf0yz6/9 This is the screenshot TCE's OCR outputs when a scan is done with my Display Settings like they normally are.

I had an error occur whilst I was sorting the STAR CLASS in NAVIGATION/STAR SYSTEMS Panel. I just selected continue, I didn't take note of the error, as I assumed it was caused by sorting when the current star system I was in was being updated. However when I jumped to the next STAR SYSTEM something extremely odd occurred, my STAR SYSTEM list was massively out, e.g. the 1st system in the list was WREDGAEI RQ-B C27-4 90.47 LY's away, when it's actually 6k LY's away.

So I checked the stars coordinates and that's where the issue lies. TCE states the Coordinates to be: -3378.46878/ 162.15625 / 124.40626, when the correct coordinates should be; -3382.21875 / 82.21875 / -5988.

DB states coordinates differently: -3382.219 / 82.219 / 82.21

So it looks like as TCE was adding and updating this star system, when the error was thrown something went wrong with the update. System is Hypou Aim HG-Y e8

DB sent.

I've manually corrected the coordinates myself: Basically the Z coordinate got corrupted, however this hasn't resolved the problem.

I now get a list of stars that are 6k LY's away from my current position and none of the stars I've recently visited and updated.

nFgMkio.png

I've reopened the DB and the Z axis hasn't been updated and remains set to 82.21, reopening the DB after saving shows that it's changed and saved correctly, but after starting TCE it gets reverted back to 82.21
