Hey Eventure, saw your post in the "Sneak Peek - Surface navigation thread". It seems this amazing work has been sadly overlooked by my "Best of Forum" thread.
I'm gonna rectify that in a minute but I just want to better understand what this does first. It certainly sounds like it does a lot more than just "trade" stuff. I'm especially interested in the surface navigation aspect. Could you maybe give me a tldr on what TCE2 does and maybe point me at a video that demonstrates the surface navigation stuff (sorry, it's probably in the OP but I haven't had time to go through it all yet).

I defer to whatever Eventure posts, but I think Badbud uses TCE mostly for exploration, so maybe he could pipe up on that.
I use TCE for trade/missions/BGS stuff.
So I use it to record trade data for stations I visit, then find the best trade routes based on that data. TCE can also update your database, like once a day, for stations you've been to, but have not visited recently. TCE does a great job of organizing the data and making it searchable for things like location, price, commodity, etc.
I use it to help with missions. There's the basic functionality of having a mission that wants you to 'bring commodity X', and you can use TCE to find the closest/cheapest/most abundant source. Then you use that to find a good trade on your way to complete the mission. TCE also now tracks your missions and makes it easy to make a "shopping list" of things you need to find.
Finally, I use TCE to track the factions I'm interested in, so I don't have to use excel. TCE tracks factions, and shows a graph with history of faction % influence.
I have put up some videos, which Eventure put on page one of this thread, that will help you get an idea of what TCE can be used for. Peruse them and maybe that will help create a TLDR for some of TCE's functionality. Also note that if you run ED in windowed mode, TCE will overlay (and hide if you want), so you never "leave the game" to get the info.

After your answer I made some tests with filter and then it works. The problem was the data age. After i set the days to 60 and after i uncheck all landing pad sizes I got results. About the age I understand it, but why I must uncheck all pad sizes? This isn't logically to me. But anyways, I think "Fehlender Operand vor dem Operator 'And'" should not happen.
I can send you the 7Z, i don't made any EDDB update so the database is still unchanged. But I use a separate Windows for gaming with no mail client, so I can't use the bug-report-button. Can you give me please your mail via PM?
edit: there is another logic problem with the filters: in the search results there are stations with loyalty "Federation" and "Independent". If I set then the filter to "Anarchy", "Alliance" and "Imperium" i still get the same results.

Regarding the above, sometimes when manually registering unregistered stations the pre-populated data is incorrect. That data being, Market Type, Allegiance, Primary and Secondary Economies being the opposite way round, presumably because this data is obtained from EDDB/EDMC. Is this data now going to be in the Journal or is the data going to be accurate via the FDev API?

Deactivating all options should be avoided until the next update. Thanks for the report. The file is no longer required.
The data comes from the unregistered market database and is updated from the data of the journal, when differencies were detected. The secondary economy is not available at the journal, so it can't be corrected.
The Capi isn't used to obtain any data, beside the commodity data.
Memory leak when updating prices?
Over the last couple of days I have been getting low memory warnings from Windows. Looking at Task Manager has shown that TCE has been using about 1800Mb of my RAM (I have 8Gb installed).
I have had TCE crash a few times when in the Navigation Panel and then had to repair my Registered database and thought that this has been a by-product of this.
Today I have started TCE and recorded memory used - TCE has been the only program running except from Task Manager:
Initial start used 188 Mb
Updating prices with EDDB Relay took usage to 1380 Mb
Restarting TCE took memory to 199 Mb
Another update of prices took memory to 1425 Mb
Should the update of prices take my memory this high? I am not talking of tempory memory used during the update process, this is once it has finished.
I am curious as to what is occupying all the memory; updating prices should swap one price for another so the database should not be getting bigger.
Interestingly, I decided to verify the database whilst typing this and it has thrown up another error in my Registered Markets.

I can confirm the issue, I did not release the used memory after launching. It will be fixed with the next version.

A couple minor bugs I think:
- The radio button in control/options/panel for 'sort by positions' is not sticky. It seems to work, but when I jump to a new system, it's back to what it was before I changed it.
- When saving data for new starport, focus returns to ED as expected after clicking 'save'. But when TCE then 'connects' to update the new stations' data, it steals focus and doesn't give it back to ED.

Not true.
Give it the time needed to properly update the station via EDMC and you'll get focus back to ED just fine. It takes several seconds.

You have to wait for TCE to 'do it's thing', as in, you can't use TCE while it's doing it's thing. But it HAS and SHOULD return focus to ED right after starting it's process. I'm sure Eventure will fix it if possible.
The *sigh* is totally helpful and doesn't make you seem condescending at all.
Maybe you should have been more clear in your original description of the problem, because it does give focus back to ED when it's done. Might save you a sigh or two in the future.
Maybe you should know how the program has run in the past, and you wouldn't make comments like you did. Anyway, if you want to fuss more, let's do it via pm so we don't crowd Eventures' thread.
