Hi Eventure

Updated to v1.6.9.4 supposedly successfully. Go to close TCE without having launched it and I get the following error:



I don't know why the error comes up with a link to my F drive as TCE is located in G:\Frontier\ED TCE. There is absolutely no TCE on my F drive.

Thanks for the report, the F-drive is my dev drive.

I found the problem with the route finder was I needed to increase the data age by a few days. Now I'm seeing plenty of routes.
One last question, I can't find a way to set my jump range anywhere. I'm sure I saw a way to do this in an older guide.

Happened to me too. I did a system restore and it seemed to fix it. Then another time it didn't. Seems random. I uninstalled TCE and EMDC installed them again, no change. Still had a server down message. Righted itself for no apparent reason.

This message comes directly from EDMC, so I have no influence on it. Maybe another bug, which was introduced with the latest EDMC 3.03 release.

No doubt Eventure me ol mate.
It's back. I tried uninstalling EDMC and rolling back to earlier versions as far back as 2.49. No change.
I'll send this screenie to EDMC see if they say anything. If they do I'll let you know.

QUESTION:

I've been meaning to ask this for a while, and after searching the wiki and this thread to no avail, What does 'REBUILD DATABASE' do? And how is it different from MARKET Update?

Dunno. really odd, I went through my firewall all's good. It updated the trade data fine even though it wouldn't connect in game "server down" Then suddenly in game half hour later it sprang to life again. Beats me that one.

Please try to activate "Run as Admin" at the TCE shortcut. Maybe it could help.

The difference is the following:
A market update by EDDB-Relay processing only markets, which last date of an update at EDDB is newer than the stored date in TCE.
A rebuild of your database rewrites all stored market data (incl. prices, shipyard and outfitting data, if selected), regardless of date.

It's decided. I deleted EDMC 3.03 and installed 2.46. And it works.

New Version of EDMC is Out:

  • Export ship loadout to Coriolis in Journal “Loadout” format.
  • Fix for “This app requires accurate timestamps” error - get timestamps for cAPI-derived data from cAPI server.
  • Fix for TCE integration.
  • Support for “package plugins”.

Did you upgrade EDMC? Did it break TCE? I'm gun shy about that now. You first!

I did yesterday. Gave it a thorough testing. All kinds of combinations, pushes, random updates. All's Gravy. No problems yet
