Hi there,
please hit the enter key, if you are about to change a value. This has to be done at all instances of manual input.

The station details are from the journal log.
The Range and Distance noted at the Extension tab of the launcher are for the creation of an initial database, not for the update of your database.
All stations with a newer timestamp than TCE will be updated by EDDB-Relay.

Under 'view database', you say the bodies can be sorted 'by distance'. I'm guessing you mean distance from main star, not distance from your position in the system?

I don't think when you click on a body in the star system map, that it'll show mats on that planet. Just where does EDDB get that info?

Is there a way we'll know which body pics were taken by us? Like a tiny water mark in the bottom corner or something?

For the exploration flight plan, does it know your jump range, and give warning of some kind if you try to plot a route with a jump greater than your jump range? Neutron jumps would have to be ignored I suppose.

Can you choose which one of your ships is shown for the exploration ship summary pic/data?

All available info is shown, incl. material and atmosphere composition and rings. EDDB will get if from EDMC or EDSM, I think.

It's quite obvious to see the difference between a shot from the game and the default pictures, so it is not required to add an extra mark.

Because TCE doesn't know the star distance between the waypoints, it can't be evaluated by TCE.
I have added the possibility to use the Neutron Highway Route Plotter (thanks to Spansh creating an API) directly out of TCE, so it will plot a route for you to your target system, incl. neutron star systems, in consideration of your jump range.
The plotting of a route between the designated waypoints is usually done at the galaxy map ingame.

The ship, you are using or have used in the exploration is shown at the Ship Summary tab.

@Eventure, I saw earlier somewhere in this thread that someone else reported that the "Outfitting" database gets an error during verify and needs to be repaired. This seems to happen 50% of the time when I update Trade Station data in the launcher. There are almost 9 million records in the database and the Repair and (re)Verify steps take a combined 2-3 hours to complete before I can actually use TCE in-game.

1: Is there a clear cause for the error?
2: Is the error confined (in this case) to just whatever individual database file fails the Verify step, and we can continue to use TCE's other features in-game? Or should we not use TCE until the Repair & (re)Verify is complete?
3: Is there a recommended fix / workaround, short of recreating a new database with a much more limited set of stations & data?

(The issue first happened when I moved 140 light years from the starting zone, and TCE Route Finder wasn't working because it didn't have data for my current location, so I just recreated the database with a bigger radius.)

I used to get that error but with the upcoming 1.7.0 I no longer see the problem. Plus you'll be very happy to know that the Verify/Repair routine is now significantly faster. Times will vary of course depending on db sizes, but mine used to take a good half hour just for the outfitting.db, now the whole db is checked in less than a minute.

Thanks for that info. If I'm doing the math right (I'm probably not) that's like a 96% performance improvement I think? So if I see a similar 96% improvement, it should drop the total runtime for either Verify or Repair down to around... 3 minutes? That would be awesome if it pans out. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

The DB transfer was fast, and so was the verification. Nice.

I forgot to ask, and I KNOW it's been explained before, but I can't find it (also the wiki faq needs lots of updating ). In the options/online, the check box for 'send commodity data to eddn'...does that send only the market prices, or does it send everything about the system when you pop in, i.e. stuff used by inara like faction status, etc. Or do you have to run EDMC separately to do that? Sorry in advance.

I forgot to ask, and I KNOW it's been explained before, but I can't find it (also the wiki faq needs lots of updating ). In the options/online, the check box for 'send commodity data to eddn'...does that send only the market prices, or does it send everything about the system when you pop in, i.e. stuff used by inara like faction status, etc. Or do you have to run EDMC separately to do that? Sorry in advance.

Grrr, I don't use the factions part of TCE so that I didn't test in any specific way, except did it open, could I select a faction, did it show information. sorry that bug got through.

TCE only sends trade data, if you are wanting to update INARA then you'll need to have the application running separately. This applies to all EDMC plugins.

Documentation is a pain in the 4r63. it's never upto date and spending time doing it is always (IMO) a waste of time. Documentation shouldn't be about telling you every little detail, but just a general overview to help guide you to explore and discover how stuff really works

Your hanger problem will be specific to your fleet I'd wager as I have a fleet of 7 ships and I don't get an error viewing the hanger. I did during the Beta, but the last beta I checked and it worked. So I'd like to know what caused your specific issue.

I'm tracking peoples problems so that when I test a new version again I can attempt to tick off other peoples issues in how they use TCE.

No problem. The errors are referring to an F drive, which I don't have, so not sure what's up with that.

And I don't use the cartography part much, so I'll probably never find an error on that. Between us, we should find it all on those topics.

Yeah, I figured the FAQ might have the one about sending data to EDDN or EDMC, etc. I remembered it being asked about more than once, but just could NOT remember the answer. I'm getting old, I guess.

It's my dev drive, the error is referring to, so no worries about it.

Your expierenced issues are coming from a bug in an earlier version of TCE. Will add a fix to remove bad leftovers with the next update.
