Still haven't resolved my problem with the database conversion but in the meantime have been playing around with the default database.
Spotted a few possible bugs.
Navigation Panel
On the Star System tab under the Inner System Location the distance is just a place holder as shown below
whereas on the Market Places tab the distance is clearly shown
Market Database Operation
If only a planet ID is modified there is no option to 'Save' but if some other element is modified at the same time the Planet ID change will be saved along with the other changes.
Commodity Panel
When viewing commodity prices and changing between 'full' and 'compact' viewssome of the stock levels are displayed incorrectly - in the screen shots below the Surface Stabilisers stock level is shown under Clothing when compacted but is displayed correctly when returning to the 'full' view.
Also I notice that when adding or modifying a star the distance to the last system is no longer shown as it was under TCE MkI. I feel that this should be a vital addition for MkII as I found that just depending on the 4 stars chosen to calculate distances was not always correct. By seeing the distance to the last system and comparing this with ED it was possible to use different systems until the precise positioning was achieved.
Whilst the errors in calculation are small (usually only 0.01 LY) this can accumulate over time and cause problems in future calculations. It also causes differences in the route finder when compared to the calculated route in ED.
