I would ask that you re-add a market place column. Maybe just add a money icon with a y/n column to the others already there. I use that functionality extensively when I'm flitting about doing missions. Basically, when I bring up that panel, I first click on 'state' to get only those 'explored' and then on 'market' to only see those that have a stored market, as I'm normally not interested in those without. But I want to see them by system, not market name. The fact that they have one is more important than the name.
Preparing the next update for this weekend and I reworked the Navigation panel (Star Systems/Region Summary) to add more details about a star system and a better display of the data shown.
So let's take a look:
I removed the location and market row and replaced them by several location type icons (unregistered/coriolis/ocellus/orbis/outpost/planetary port/planetary outpost/stored location/engineer).
Added also a scoopable icon to the star class column to free additional space for the icons above. Now you are able to see, what installation types are within a particular star system, without selecting it.
Additionally, I reworked the star system summary display to be in line with the design of the panel. I replaced also the bold Destination, Set Bookmark and Delete Unregistered buttons with smaller icons to have more space for the data to display.
Have to do some last testing today, so the update will be released tomorrow. Please share your thoughts about it.
Looking good Eventure, it will be really helpful once I get back to playing (I've had an enforced break for the moment) as the new design gives much more information from a single glance.
Changelog: - Added spanish translation, but some phrases and salvage goods are still missing.
- Added the Minimap panel back again, you have to reactivate it at the Options panel.
- Added reworked Star System area with more and better readable data at the Navigation panel.
- Added star/planet ring composition text field to the Cartography panel.
- Added the ring compositon data readout to the journal scan event.
- Fixed a missing update of scooping ang region data at the Navigation panel.
- Fixed an issue with the relative position data update of a trade market.
- Fixed a detection issue of a blackhole star type.
- Fixed a critical issue, when reducing the summary show/hide delay to zero at the Options panel.
- Fixed a small issue, if a star system has no allegiance at the Summary panel.
- Fixed some issues with long translation phrases, which didn't fit into display size.
Notes:
This full version requires a new installation of TCE and a transfer of the databases from a previous version. Do not install this full version over your old.
Please check here, how to install a new full version, when used an older version before.
1. Rename current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.
If you find an error, please report and use the Report an Error button at the launcher.
An updated manual will follow shortly.
I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in russian, french or spanish, to help in translating the
latest commodities and interface phrases at OneSky.
Thanks in advance.
With the new update, I can't seem to set the region center. I'm clicking the down arrow button next to the bookmark button above the system summary in the navigation window, but it's not setting the new region center.

I got this error when I first started TCE, I quit TCE and reloaded it and I didn't see the error message again. And NO TCE isn't in my Google Drive. However I haven't noticed any issues.
The new look Star Systems Tab looks great, nice addition.
I know this has already been reported, but I'd thought I'd add my experience, the import took 40 mins in total, before I could start TCE.
ISSUES
1) STAR CLASS isn't updating correctly after performing a DSS of the star, same issue as previously reported, also seen in REGIONAL SUMMARY panel.
But as before the change has indeed been applied when I travel to a new system.
2) Once a new star has been added to the DB and I then attempt to change the STATE from VISITED to EXPLORED, it appears to change correctly, but after sorting the state has reverted back to VISITED.
Additional:
Also I've noticed, that I'm unable to change a STAR CLASS to a different class than the one that has automatically been set previously. I noticed this as I tried to change the star type of a new system to a different class to check if that would stay set, but selecting any other class just reverted it back to what it was previously set too.
Error Files emailed.
QUESTION:
When starting TCE after I've scanned some planets in ED, should TCE scan the journal file and then add these planets to CARTOGRAPHY? As it didn't in my case. I did this whilst I was waiting for TCE to transfer my DB and had assumed these would be updated when TCE started. TCE didn't even ask to scan the new journal file? Should TCE be scanning new Journal Files now?

Yes, it took longer this time and with big databases, but in the future it's only copy work.
The issue report must be on your side, because you are the only one IIRC reporting such error.

because I made the Minimap panel work properly, I will go the next step to add a planetary map, where you see all stored location of a planet at once and with the proper longitude and latitude values.
I created this currently:
Now I like to ask, what functions I should add to the map, like mark a sector (box) as scanned or adding a location, etc.
I know, TCE have an active community, so I like to hear all your suggestions to make it as sweet as sugar
Thanks.

When adding a location in TCE will that mean that I can find that location again by just following a pointer on the mini map whilst in orbit around a planet? If that planet has 2 or more locations, e.g. multiple barnacle sites how would I guide myself to a specific site? Would this be set, or can it be set by selecting that location as my next destination? Also would previously set planetary locations be useable with the new minimap?
Had a few issues and need to uninstall so i can re-install.
Program doesnt appear in my unistaller in control panel nor in the actual TCE program folder.
Is there another way to remove TCE please.

You will see it and you can navigate to it, because each location as a value of LAT/LNG, but you can't do it in supercruise, because Frontier didn't write the postion values while in supercruise or driving a SRV. I raised a bug report here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=332281
Maybe Frontier adds more data, if enough players are requesting it. Feel free to add a comment to the request.

As above, each site has a set of position data, acquirable when reaching the site. So after that, the map will guide you back to it by multi-hopping into the direction, because the player bearing marker is now in line with the game.
So allign with the target, check the distance to the site and start supercruise hopping until you come close, then the Minimap panel comes into play, guiding you exactly to the site's position.
Khelder created a fab demonstration of planetary surface navigation. Now he closed his development, but I think I can add a light version with obvious delay, because TCE not getting any live data. TCE will rely on data, that is available through the netlog.

Yeah I watched that thread for awhile, it looked super cool and useful, shame it can't be done due to FDev not allowing it. They at least could supply the data in the journal to do it though.
Changelog: - Fixed an issue when trying to set a Region center.
- Fixed an issue with the displayed data of star systems at the Navigation panel, when changing state or class.
- Fixed an issue with scanning the last journal file, which wasn't scanned before.
- Updated Manual [1.5.1+] available.
Note:
Copy all files and folders from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

1) [VERY MINOR] When entering a new Star System and scanning the Sun, when the Star Class updates the REGIONAL SUMMARY tab details are shown, not the STAR SYSTEMS TAB. Selecting STAR SYSTEMS restores the display. NOTE this is when the NAVIGATION panel is being displayed and as the Star Class updates this happens.
2) [MINOR] Regional Summary, I am unable to sort by STAR CLASS. Clicking it changes it to STORED, but then it can't be cycled through the other options, which would be, UNKNOWN, SCOOPABLE and back to ALL. Clicking away from the tab and back has reset the selection to ALL.
3) [VERY MINOR] Updating of Star Class is still a problem as previously reported, also it's updated correctly after jumping to a new system. State change issue is resolved.
4) [MEDIUM] I'm unable to change the Star Class for stars I haven't visited. This is also the case for Stars that I have visited that have had the Star Class set previously or when it's updated after performing a DSS. To recreate it, Select any Star in your DB and attempt to change the Star Class, it will not change from what it is currently set to.
