UA Mystery thread 4 - The Canonn

Speaking of UAs... what were the ships that the UA did not draw? A T6 was one, from memory... perhaps they're looking for an incubator! Like, T6s being a midwife. Or something.

T6, T7 and T9.

Chicken and egg style? :D
What a huge chicken a T9...

Interestingly though, I have heard it DOES draw a keelback. Which is basically a t6. I wonder if that means the omission of T-series ships is intentional?

If it was a bug in 1.4, now in 2.0 it's become intentional for sure. FD found some reason for it ;)
We've widely discussed about it some weeks ago when we found the T-ships behavior...

T6, T7 and T9?
Where is the T8?

When i google the Pleiades, there is another star in the list of all the named,
18 Tau(ri).
Hint?

Have we considered the possibility that the UA's point to the Pleiades Nebula in general, and the only reason it points to Merope specifically is because the Nebula is not a selectable object in the game?

I believe so, though if it has to do with "threat" vs "non-threat," They why does it also draw the hauler and orca? Many unanswered questions...

I still think any dealings with the UA's should be conducted with a T ship.

Anyone got the link to Banicle info pic?
I think it was titled 'new stuff in 1.5' something or other and was shared on imagur...
There was a link to it on the teamspeak last night

No, it's a bug.

Michael

The omission of the T-series ships is "a Bug".

Also,
Does anyone know if Michael made the 'it's right in front of you' comment before or after the release of the new trailer with the SRV/barnicle/green chiding?

I think honestly with this we can pretty much stop thinking the T ships are special... many reasons.

It's not the brand it draws the Keelback and Asp variants.
It's not the fact they are cargo carriers.... Hauler?

I think MB finally put a stop to that line of thinking, in a very scientific way I'd say the removal of a variable or its mutation into a constant is progress.

To MB and his crew that has to be one hell of a bug if it persists even in 2.0 can't squash that Thargoid just yet eh?

That's how I took it as well. Oh well, so much for my hypothesis.

That means I can take my Asp instead of my t6 now!

At last too... Not to go all Lab 69 on this but if things do go south with the whole UA as prelude to an alien invasion (I'm not endorsing that theory just yet) then I'd hate for a bunch of labcoats to get slaughtered in their cargo haulers. That said I'd rather do planet hopping and SAR missions in my Cobra speed/power/maneuverability > flying a defenseless box.

Thank You Sir for the clarification and to Canonn: BOOM that is it on to other ideas.

I love the fact that innocuous comments on this thread suddenly lead to serious implications.

It's like Michael Brooks has a damn alarm on his desk.
