Yeah we have been falling into the correlation as causation rut with this one, but it's hard to see much of the forest from this particular tree.
What would you suggest?
Well this below looks like a good place to start, as others have already said.
CMDRs,
Has anyone analyzed the sounds of malfunctioning stations?
GBob
That and just going back to 1st principles and analysing the affected stations in general, comparing them to unaffected ones.
Greetings Gentlemen
we will follow your advice and have stopped Sir
Thank you CMDR o7
Whoops...

This is getting very interesting
Seriously though - it's almost certainly not just you guys, I can imagine tens, possibly hundreds of groups doing this right now... What a bloody mess!
Aaand then there's that.
The Galnet could be reflecting the surge in powerplay misuse of UA sales after all.
I did try to warn about this when going "public" about any UA correlation with station malfunction was getting discussed. Oh well. Mankind eh? First sign of a link and it's "oh let's break stuff"
Its encouraging that CMDR Noast promised us to stop. Perhaps we should send ambassadors to other groups and ask them nicely to follow this fine example.
I wouldn't be at all surprised at an expletive response though, but we can try.
Back to my earlier suggestion of dropping the UA correlation assumption and starting afresh for a moment: it seems to me that the Galnet was urging us to work it out soon and that suggests that perhaps we haven't yet and UA sales is not the cause. It may be a prod to get our puzzle solving heads back in the game. Having said that though - the whole Heike tea from Cerberus just didn't make any puzzle solving sense at all.
So in conclusion, I suggest ambassadors to ask for cessation of tactical sales. More experiments selling rares, sap8, hafnium etc to Bond to see if anything, ANYTHING fixes it no matter how handvawiumly illogical. Fresh analysis of the affected stations. And tea. Tea goes with biscuits, and I'm in the mood for dunking biscuits.
And as for selling rares etc, we need to do it BIG TIME, not just 1 or 2 of each. It'll take a sustained coordinated effort of the kind people have been doing to break stuff.
