Really nice post Stryder295 !
Hi folks. I am an avid fan of the UA research, and going through the lore surrounding this, really reminds me of happy times playing Elite as a young child. Something that I can't find a clear-cut answer to though, is to what the "Antares Incident" was? I presume it is either a ship or a base that was either destroyed or vanished, but from scanning forum threads, I can only find references to it. Is someone please able to kindly summarise it for me, in a manner similar to that of what has happened to SS1, as that has made excellent sense in terms of the theories and lore surrounding the Thargoids and currently the UAs. Thank in advance, I really appreciate it
Ps - this thread is excellent, as it clearly summarises events regarding SS1 and gives them a good reference on timeline, so thank you also for writing this thread![]()
...article #506 says the Thargoids fought them into the early 3rd millennium which would be the early 2000's). So maybe the UA's belong to this third race. Although I still don't know why an alien race would use morse code.
If the Thargoids fought the Third Race into the 2000s then maybe the Third Race passed by Sol at some point earlier and picked up morse transmissions from us. The UAs recognise us as being from Sol somehow and they are trying the one form of communication they know we should understand.
@Vithia - thank you for your link; it perfectly explained it, so now all the pieces of the story have come together for me. Cheers mate, and back to the UAs I will trek ... !
Hey guys.. sorry for the silence.. Went to Vegas.
Check link.. I finally uploaded the Large Wreckage site. This is uncut.. so it has me staring at the odd sounding UA in front of the star.. then I fly around looking at the wreckage.. ending with a long range look at the total wreckage. I recommend that you skip to the end if you want to see the size I am talking about.

Let me know your thoughts, and how this site compares to others.

seen wreckage sites of this size 3 or 4 times, since 1.4. went live (in very significant ( ;-) ) systems like Wredguia YD-B d5 or Synuefe IB-W d2-5.
Has anyone seen large wreckage sites pre-1.4?
If this size of wreckage sites are new to 1.4, then I would interpret that as additional support to the theory that we can or will find the SS1 or Anateres liner. What other reasons would they have for adding large sites to the game?
If you guys come across a wreckage site that is fairly large, try and visually check the larger pieces for any hull identifiers or names.
Just a brief thought, not really vetted:
We know that the SS1 and Anatares suffered similar catasrophic events.
We ASSUME the events are similar in nature, or even linked. We KNOW that the both ships spooled their FSD drives, therefore ending up somewhere else. We ASSUME the ships are destroyed.
Is there anything we can investigate, or any evidence to show the direction, distance, star type, systems info, etc... of their travel destination?
Maybe we can pinpoint or at least narrow down an area or system to search. I would be particularly interested in any data points that both scenarios share.
Just a thought, I'll spend time refining the idea. Essentially, are there any patterns related to the ship disappearances.
Currently I am following the trail of crumbs in Galnet, checking out Warkushanui and 49 Arietis.
I noticed 2 things of slight interest... the systems above are an upward trajectory from Merope (slight tapering off at Warkushanui), averaging about 180 ly apart. I wonder if we can predict where the next "station malfunctions" will occur?
Secondly, anyone ever notice that Pranav Antal, a major power, has a system way out in deep space? I think it is 294 ly from 49 Arietis - a system on the edge of populated space. I am curious as to why a major power has invested the resources required to take a system so far away. Does Pranav have anything to do with the Sirius Corp, and their expansion?
Just my thoughts. Yours?
## Edit: Takarua is the system way out in the middle of no where... it is Sirius Corp related.
