I guess so, BTW reading the ASCII off a table (and I just noticed some tables include octal so I wasted my time in actually converting it!), the 's' was a lower case letter.
Nice work, that'll be the answer. So it's not really telling us anything we don't know except that Kerrash thinks it's Thargoids.
Well I'm just glad to have gotten to the bottom of it. Nice little distraction. I'm really not convinced at all of it being thargoids though. It's got to have something to do with an artifact and some warp technology. Whatever happened to Jacques must go a lot deeper than UAs messing with the electronics
I wonder if it has something to do with a lot of the systems near Barnard's loop being locked for a time.

This current treasure hunt is for something else (my money is on a wreck). Maybe in 2.2 Col 70 will unlock and we'll find Thargoids there. That *seems* to be what everything is hinting at.

It's already far, far less interesting than I thought it would be. We already have plenty of fetch-quest content in the game, more wasn't what we needed.
Someone tell Michael the 28th is over, and not that many seem impressed.
Dear Lord, i would like to disagree. Over the last month(s) there was a lot of hype generated by FD themselves, starting with a casual "winter is coming" statement, and culminating in the "video messages" and the debris-field with the "anomaly" taking up the view.
Just quoting from the back of my head:
"i saw things that made my eyes bleed, look out for Tionsola in Galnet, then "it" starts", Players being adviced more than once not to go unarmed anywhere, recommendation on engineers, not needed - but would make "things" more easy. People associated to FD like that Kerrash-Guy, who is not eligble to say anything, still drops hints and makes claims about alien ships found through tip-offs (still nobody managed to do that ... ), Twitter, ....
.... and what not ?!
So, well, yes - the hypecycle train was started AND steamed by FD. And yes, here i agree, players did their part on it as well. But this could (should) have been forseen by FD, if you make Video like those shown in the interviews, and everything else dropped along the line.
So please LordZoltan, don't blame the players. They are reacting perfectly predicatable.
When all this came to "the hunt starts at the 28th", the only questions were more like "Being Hunter or hunted ?" and "What and Who?" , the majority not expecting what was served.
For me, and as this threads shows for many others aswell, this whole thing backfired big time, due to lack of execution and delivering something "satisfying".
This could have been anything, even the smallest "new thing", even only some kind of glimpse od something ancient, or traces of something, but hell not, this kind of thing they served us here.
If we are now starting to point fingers at ourselves, than i'm so much out of this, the game, the thread, elite and everything else.
On Christmas we were promised presents, if we were kind to mum and dad, and grandparents, tidy our rooms, and be good in school. And all we got, was an apple in wrapping paper, and somebody saying "yeah, it is christmas, that is your present, deal with it. If you expected more, thats unfortunatly your own fault."
That is overall on no level, how gameplay works or should work. And this is just objective criticism. FD should get their act together for the next stages, and have a "lessons learned" meeting, which then hopefully improve future things ("events") to come.

Just because the 28th day of August is over doesn't mean the chain of events is over.
That is just the gibberish the certain CMDR of SDC, frantically cut and pasted during "combat" all the time. Has nothing to do with "this". Sorry. Can be seen in "their" streams on twitch. Maybe some kind of lame "battle cry". Each to their own ....
The hunt person saying "I'll let you know when/how to deliver them..." was just the FD employee saying "hey peeps, I'm totally knackered and I'm off to bed. Laterz" or somesuch. Guess all we can do is hang around the same locations at 3, 6, 9 again and wait for instructions. Until then, keep your eyes and ears open and go do something constructive 
Honestly. If I was there. I'd be thinking the person should be checked into a mental hospital.
