(Is there anything notable below the Milky Way?  )

Akin to...?

(and ofc Andromeda et al ... :p )

after some thought i realise that the picture 2 is the most interesting.
so i made another version forcing the fit of the spikes position at maximum with the arms of the galaxy.

here the result:

also, this time, i have numbered all the spots to have a fast recall.

yeah maybe it's not yet too much correct but..
notice how number 1 looks like nebula NGC 6357 ?

You should still be able to deliver the alloys there as the closed stations should have a special market to facilitate this.

Michael

I did wonder...

Not that I expect you to respond again - but can we definitely take it that if a station is no longer listed, then it's no longer under threat? E.g our very own Bond Hub in Varati. Someone checked last night and repairs were not available.

Is it a case of waiting for a server tick?

Thanks for popping in as always!

I can say with some certainty that there is sod all in the area of 9 and 10.
Not sure why you are restricting yourself by locking on the "axis", I think you are limiting your results.

My project to look for that pattern anywhere in the galaxy with any size or orientation using the EDSM dataset is going "well". Nowhere near a result, but writing the code is fun.

Hmm, 7's close to Heart&Soul... 8's nearby Skull And Crossbones Nei...

This is very interesting. the match is very good and I think 15 which would otherwise be off-pattern is (was?) a permit zone

Based on:
Alien Items : http://www.drewwagar.com/books/alienitems/
And a bunch of random galnet posts...
This is great, I don't think the Missing get enough attention. I was checking out every signal source inside their shell but since I seem to have picked up some painite this has become much more hazardous so getting rid then will get back on the horse

Heh. I wonder if mb has shown up again to watch us scramble when 2.1 lands :D

Needless to say, if i can do some more fozard docks, it may tie in nicely with some cgs i have planned.

Last week I delivered 52 tonnes to 49 Arietis as that was the dock I'd sold a couple or so of UAs to, just to clear my conscience. Wonder if it's a rolling total which changes or just a set amount to cure. Nice to see Bond is back.

Has anyone compiled an estimate of the MAs delivered to the infected stations, and estimated how many UAs were delivered to each station to cause the infection? This analysis would indicate how much effort is needed to effect the cures, but would require Cmdrs to be open about their deliveries (IRL information that would be readily available by questioning local engineers at each station). I suspect it won't be long before we need all the stations we can operate (Fed/Imp hostilities seem to be brewing, but I think there is a high likelihood of alien hostilities this year).

I imagine the amount needed to cure each station will either be:
(1) a simple threshold (not necessarily equal for all stations) OR
(2) may be a function of the amount of the UAs delivered.

Should anyone want to start this analysis I have delivered no UAs, but delievered 184T MAs to Ray Gateway.

N.B. I am of course assuming MB won't give us the figures directly? ;-))

Awesome work.
Where abouts is Merope in this chart? Does correspond to any of the dots?

i made some work with the previous layout acquired from the original post of the barnie spikes positions.

and i found something interesting... probably someone else just did that but i this time i used the original galaxy picture map
done by frontier.
There are only 2 possible orientations, since the first 2 spikes (the ones who has the MA) are the central main arms of the galaxy.
here the results:

if we orientate the barnie layout in a way , the map is this

in the other way, it's this
http://i.imgur.com/c4SgZf4.jpg

now...

the layout is very approssimative...

anyway the interesting thing is that the first confrontation (with the first pic) i did makes me immediately find a nebula - the TRAIKEOU AA-A H2 nebula

now i am trying to find other combinations..

Hmmm. No 7 looks like it lands almost exactly on PHRIO PHOE AA-A H24. Its a trinary black hole system I found with a few helium worlds. No landables. In fact, there are black holes all around this area... lots of white dwarves and neutron stars too...

Edited: No, not AA-A H24...

Maybe PHAA AIN AA-A G0 (Explored...1 class O, 2 type B stars, no planets)
PHRIO PHOE DL-Y G0 (Unexplored but nearby)
NGC 663 SECTOR EG-Y G2 (Unexplored but not too far away)
PHRIO PHOE ZE-A G2 (Explored... 1 small Black hole, 1 T-Tauri star, 1 Class B star)
