Sorry for being offtopic, but while we're at systems with permits - how do you gain access? I've encountered a few of these myself out there in noman's land and wondered who actually enforced the permit?

New lightest non brown dwarf star: COL 285 Sector NG-H a26-6
T-Tauri Star with solar mass of 0.0156 (Screenshot in german)

EDIT: I just noticed that with 413K this is also the coolest non brown dwarf star. Double record!

EDIT 2: Never mind just found something better.

Could you clarify the "Heaviest Body" criteria, does it include or exclude gas giants? Just asking because a couple of Class IV gas giants in THETA-1 MICROSCOPII have over 3499+ earth masses. (A8 and B14)

Well that record didn't last long..
Hyades Sector LH-V c2-21 3. T-Tauri star with solar mass of 0.0078 and surface temp. of 260K.
That makes it the coldest star, the coldest non brown dwarf star, the lightest star and the lightest non brown dwarf star. 4 records!:D

Question on closest systems - How do you get to ls when shown is ly ? How far am I off with two systems 0.18 ly apart?

Nice find! ... I think the record is intended to be for main sequence stars (aka V class) so not sure if Patau will give the other 2 but you certainly get the lowest temperature! that's -13*C for a star's surface haha

Think that's heaviest non-giant but we should add a category for heaviest body also (including gas giants)

It seems all those 'permit' worlds have moments when the permits dont show so they appear as regular systems(dont think this holds for permit worlds inside known space). I jumped into them during those times. I've scanned all 5 now .. nothing really spectacular yet .. here's hoping that changes :)

Not sure if this qualifies for a record, but thought I'd add it as seems to be the weirdest/rarest star type. Been to about 1300 systems but never came across a Carbon Class star:

I notice that there are no categories for T Tauri stars. Seems like we should have those. I'm currently in a system that boasts 14 actual stars (not sure why we lump stellar remnants like black holes and neutron stars into that record), of which 11 are T Tauri.

nice find zxen .. is that an S class? or what was the letter clasification?

According to the GalMap, it's a C3 III

Yay! After much wandering I think I've broken a record :)

Lawd 49 A has a solar radius of 0.0042, which I claim to be lower than the existing Smallest Star record of 0.0046 :) Sorry CMDR Endereth Ernal :)

This record needs updating on the first page ;)

I am not sure if this could be counted as a record but I have found a system that has 19 high metal content planets (including 2 consisting of 100% metal) of which 7 are a candidate for terraforming and 1 is Earth-like. For details look here.
