Psst, over here. I got the low down on a good set of rings for you, only the best.

Let me introduce you to my newest favorite system: Theta-1 Microscopii with 31 ringed bodies.

(Note because it was so long horizontally I had to take 3 images and there is some overlap in the images, but you get the idea)

As an added extra bonus (though I don't think this counts as an extra ringed body):

Perhaps I help Patau a little...

Even bigger rings on this planet: Cat's Paw Sector HR-W D1-31 (planet 7)

Single largest ring: 6,138,756KM from otter to inner radius
All 3 rings on this planet combined: 8,077,117Km from outer most radius to inner most radius

What a view :)

Good find!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i just beat you after making my first exploration trip to the Pleiades Nebula:

Black Hole in Maia with 2.6602 Solar Masses :)
It's also my first black hole i ever discovered, didn't manage to get very close, quite a hot thing, so unfortunately i didn't see much i think? Anyone ever tried to use it for travelling if possible? :)

Even better one!

I think I just found the youngest star: BYEIA EUQ FG-Y G4

It's a whopping Zero Million years - Really? - yep :)

This age has already been claimed.

Smallest body with ammonia-based life - COL 285 SECTOR GV-D B13-4 1 with a radius of 14,982 km - CMDR Endereth Ernal

carbon-ammonia-based counts? Then its here 9,589km. :)
Or should it be a separate mixed carbon-ammonia life form record? :D

v2D8PDf.jpg

Journey to FEHU.
Furthest Imperial system from Achenar - 363,22ly.
Been there done that. ^_^
Yours is a non-gas giant and the record is mistakenly named - it should be: Smallest gas giant with ammonia-based life. Both water-based and ammonia-based are carbon life.

You have to make a much longer journey to claim you visited the furthest imperial system from Achenar as Quince is 554.47 Ly from it:
XT6WHPJ.jpg
The record should be given to Martianmr as he found the system.

However, I have accidentally found the furthest, I think, federal system from Sol but I have not noted its exact distance (over 400 Ly). It's 17 Draconis and I'm on my way there so I remedy it soon.

My second find is the coldest body - Wakaparibe 8 at 7K

1st day at NGC 7822 otherwise knows as the S171 O-class stellar nursery ... New Records after about visiting about 1/3 of the big stars

Tie for Youngest System: Plaa Eurk YL-D b0 with 0 million Years
GgyFY7N.png

Lightest body: S171 5 8 B A with 0.0000 earth masses
Smallest body: S171 5 8 B A with 145Km
JTzlops.png

Heaviest body: S171 23 A 5 with 417.0638 earth masses
Highest Surface Temperature: S171 23 A 5 with 30,216K
Highest Surface Pressure: S171 23 A 5 with 1,555,357,056 atmosphere (yup that's over 1 billion)

Heaviest black hole: S171 9 B with 33.6719 solar masses

Youngest black hole: S171 23 B with 1 million years

I had found this nursery in Beta3 on the map but I haven't had time to actually fly there being rather a short range explorer and climbing imperial ladder ASAP (it's needed for my story). Nice find, anyway :)

The youngest system record at 0 million years has already been claimed and the lightest body probably should not count as many bodies are that light eg. Enceladus. However, the rest of records are of very high quality as most of them are better by far than the previous ones.

Great find! Rep given :)

I would like to submit Maia. The Black Hole is so light!

You are too late: Maia has already been claimed.

Haven't read through all the post but this is excellent work and hopefully the devs will see this and realise that things like this would be awesome in game, when you submit details to stellar cartographics you should be notified if you have just found the biggest/smallest etc etc of it's calss and also be able to look it up. Great work

New record for coldest "star" (brown dwarf, but, unless it has some very distant planets, the only object of the system) I think, Trianguli Sector CH-L A8-3, 274K. That is just under 1C, yet when I got close to it my ship started to overheat.

Wow, these are great screenshots.
Respect ^_^
I wish you could make a video of that star ^_^

Yeah I dont have a video recording software that I could easily use and didn't have the time to stop and install one but I might just have to for some of the places here .. found another star with a rotation of about 1.5-2 seconds

nice find aberent .. and yes that's definately a new record!

how many of those were metallic? .. that might be a miners paradise if a few of them are and it's in inhabited space.

furthest Federation system from Sol - 17 Draconis at 412.35 Ly

Unfortunately, it looks somewhat empty and see its commodity market:
aDcvoi6.jpg

I don't think it should be completely empty - ticketed. Outfitting is the same, actually, but the market is just plain wrong. This is certainly not the Paradise, at least not yet ;)

Edit:
how many of those were metallic? .. that might be a miners paradise if a few of them are and it's in inhabited space.
6 but for what reason you need more than one?

So ... I'm starting to feel a little paranoid ... S171 43 and S171 48 have 'moved to another dimension' with half no longer showing up on radar (I verified game files before this)

The reason I'm really paranoid and just not meh it's a bug .... I've found 4 permit worlds near me .... guys are we really alone out here?

New record for "Star with the most bodies"
Cmdr CreepyD.

Previous record listed as 51.
New record 64 :D

System located almost all the way to the Witch Head Nebula (found on my way back).

Haha it seems FDev just saw the area of space I was exploring and are deciding to wall it off slowly with permits ...
I visited yesterday one the the systems that now requires a permit :D

What FDev? You just allowed yourself to be detected by aliens and they compromised your FSD. I hope it's not some kind of virus and when you are back the whole humanity won't be needing permits for those systems.

It's not the S171 systems themselves ... it's 5 systems so far around that nebula

But... but you are implying you've seen legendary abandoned Z'ha'dum there? Gloom we already have here and now doom is coming... What are we going to do without our beloved Emperor?

Few more updates from S171 ... I've finished checking all O class stars ... many near records (2 groups of stars are 0.21 and 0.18 Ly apart, 5+ stars over 115 earth masses, 4 supermassive stars in 1 system, 18 stars in 1 system etc. ) but here are the last 2 records to update:

Smallest world: S171 19 A 6 B A with 141Km
sRkfnFk.png

Oldest Black Hole: S171 30 B with 731 million years
4meV0Dj.png

Area also has 5 permit systems:
1 permanent: NGC 8722 SECTOR DL-Y D13
4 on/off (I have seen them go off and actually visited 2 of them:
NGC 8722 SECTOR CL-Y D12
NGC 8722 SECTOR CL-Y D13 <- visited
NGC 8722 SECTOR CL-Y D14
NGC 8722 SECTOR DL-Y E1
<- visited
