... - I've been staring at icy planets way too often lately ;)

LOL, I know the feeling. I must say I am enjoying the exploration aspects more than I thought.
I haven't found much of note yet, so I doubt I will get into the book. Unless lowest system on the galactic disc is a thing?

Anyway, keep up the great work explorers! :D

Ok, let's redo it again then, as i said i have a 0.01 ATM water world, here it is :

WATER WORLD WITH THE LOWEST SURFACE PRESSURE

Sorry, but that planet would still not be categorized as a Water World but as a Terraformable Planet as per the current system. We'll have to wait and see what kind of changes Patau will implement (this weekend?).

Howdie fellow Explorers :)

is this how I have to do this?

lowest temp Gas Giant Class V :)

Sorry, but no. Please follow the instructions posted by Rukmerot here. Also a colder Gas Giant Class V was posted yesterday evening. Sorry.

I'm not sure what are you taking about - under the current system this is both water world and terraformable. It's from both categories but I think there have been reported planets with 0.00 atmospheres in these categories so it's not a record (perhaps my memory playing tricks on me).

No, Patau currently categorizes planets like this one only as terraformable. Only a non-terraformable Water World would actually be a Water World. He wants to implement some changes this weekend, so this will probably be different once he's done that.

No no you are right, i reported a 0.00 one and even another without any atmospher at all.
That is why i brought in the 0.01 ATM one because i thought the previous two were discarded and regarded as bugged (edit : obviously that wasn't the reason).

Unfortunately that's exactly what I've been doing all along...the forum just started converting my CAPS LOCKED text into small ones all of a sudden two days ago. I've tried all the different modes also...but I'll find a solution someday :)

TESTING TESTING

Okay, now the glitch or whatever it was seems to be gone? Nice!

This is obviously wrong because a planet doesn't stop being a water world when it's deemed terraformable.

Edit: Similarly, a water world can be a high metal content planet as well (and usually is) - the latter is just a much larger group and most of the former are a part of it.

CLOSEST AMMONIA WORLD TO SOL (for now)

Don't waste time of Rukmerot and Patau with such "records", please - not every entry has to be filled immediately and there are many ammonia worlds that are over 3x closer than yours. I saw some just yesterday and could provide evidence but saw no point as they were over 100 Ly from Sol and there are many even closer. Additionally, your evidence isn't enough to prove the distance.

I disagree. If it just says FINDER then a lot of people will automatically assume that there must be one much closer, or much colder, or much hotter of whatever. If there is a record there (even if it is an easily beatable record) people will submit anything they find that beats it.

So if both nearest and furthest away from Sol are currently blank, and someone submits any other record - I would like to see both the distance records getting filled in - however that doesn't happen unless people give the distance from Sol. Unfortunately distance to places requires a bit more work from commanders to find out - it isn't (quite rightly) displayed on the info on the system map.

we need to see a system pic that includes the planet for this record as metal-rich and high metal content have bugged descriptions
