Unplayed PMF

Problem lies with those people who want FD to create a MF in the game for the sole purpose to use it as means to mess with others.
In the case of SDC, who ever really believed that people who get off only by griefing others would be seriously trying to play the BGS?

Which is why I'm in favour of being able to crush them completely and wipe their MF.

You submit a form.
If it does not fail any of the criteria, you are inserted into the system.
That is not "earned".
Frontier do not check viability, lore implications or your probable neighbours.
The notion that "your PMF was inserted into this system, therefore it is yours by right" - that needs to be challenged.
Players pick systems without understanding the implications.
Frontier cannot check that an insertion makes sense.
Zombie PMFs should whither and die.
Yes, "earned" as it seems from the Dangerous Groups post it appears quite difficult for people to comprehend basic instructions.
It also requires initiative, a sprinkling of imagination and an ability to find a potential location.
I am in no way claiming it is a difficult thing, but I also don't see a reason to belittle every one that was incorporated into the same category as useless dregs just because some of them are.
Heck, even Smiling Dog Crew put enough effort into t expand into Colonia. Others just seem to have other things to do or just don't care beyond having the fact the PMF exists being enough.
Even I have to admit that not every one needs to own a vast swath of territory. Despite mine having a vast swath of territory... I in no way expect every other one to do the same.

Without logging back into the game, I think I see part of the attraction. Still, why not simply find another system with similar qualities or near that location?

We have I think 4 unused pmf's in our space. For the most part I don't see any issue with them just sitting there dormant, apart from their presence preventing the insertion of an active faction. That in itself is quite an attractive thing of course - I'd much rather have a moribund faction than one out to get us! We do have one player faction in that last category - they asked to inserted into a a system we had liberated specifically to oppose us. The BGS war is two years plus old now and had it been possible to retreat them from their home system, they'd be long gone now. Not sure that is a good thing.
The System itself is quite unique in its combination of benefits it grants to a PMF, hence why it was chosen by the now absent creators of the Third Guard.
Any similar System is either out of reach, has active PMF in it or has the wrong Powerplay community exploiting it.
