Has always been installed on an SSD. In fact all three of my machines have the stuff and they all run SSDs

Yeah, whatever is the cause of the hitching/stutter it's not hard drives, although mechanical drives may amplify the effect. My game is installed on a Samsung 840 pro and I get hitching/stutter during FSD jumps and during SC when approaching planets/stars. I've tried an MX 100 as well, to no avail.

No problems with other titles, and other than the stutter in those two areas, I have no problems with this one either.

It can't just be the planet procedural generation causing it, as I see it inside stations and elsewhere out of sight from any planetary object.

Depends how good their Z-culling is. In theory they shouldn't need to calculate the planet when you're in a station. I don't know if "earthshine" is included in the lighting model but in theory it could affect the lighting in the docking port when you can't see the planet if the rendering engine was good enough.

Nope normal scan indicated Wanted then I ran the KWS for additional bounties, then the wanted ship actually started shooting at me first but as soon as I fired back I'm suddenly WANTED.... like W the F ?

Note that simply having a ship firing at you is not enough to cover your retaliation. They actually have to hit you.
When you hear the computer say you are "Under attack" and the contact turns to the red/white flicker on the scanner, then you're good to go get them.
If you're sure that's all happened before you hit them back, then yes, it's a bug. I have to say I've not seen that for a loooooong time though. For most people, it's actually down to them seeing the other ship fire, mistakenly assuming that makes it ok to fire back, but they actually land a hit first which makes them the aggressor.

If his scan had resolved them as "Wanted" in the local jurisdiction, though, that shouldn't matter.

@Hermann, Maybe the collision detection glitched and the game thought that you hit a different target that was not wanted. Was there another player in the instance? Could be a P2P glitch maybe? Be sure to put anything potentially relevant such as that in your ticket.

More people are reporting similar with a wanted tag and bounty that does not show up when they try to pay it. So far, logging out and back in seems to clear it.

Myself, I had the shooting a wanted giving me the wanted tag. I scanned the ship, it showed as wanted, I went into contacts to see the bounty, and then opened fire, and was immediately hit with the wanted tag and 400cr bounty for assault on the ship of the same name, so it was not a stray shot. Security all went red and attacked me. When I went to pay the bounty, I still had the wanted tag after landing, but nothing showed in the contacts panel. I logged out and back in, and it was all cleared.

While the phantom wanted tag is annoying and logging out and back in clears it, the wanted tag for shooting a confirmed wanted ship is not good...not good at all.

No more bounty hunting since 1.07. Possible you guys reduced the spawn rates of pirates by around factor 20 ?
I've been hopping through instances where I could make money before, now it's completely dead. In more than an hour of boredom I found dozends of police vessels and 2 bounty sidewinders with 900 and 1300 bounty.

If that was intentional the game is over for bounty hunters. It was grinding enough before with an ASP, now it's the worst horrible scenario I can think about. unplayable like that :(

I was hunting this morning, about 9 hours ago, and saw tons of wanteds in a RES, racked up over 350k in just over an hour, but ran afoul of the wanted flag for shooting a confirmed wanted ship, and then the phantom bounty on my head...

What do to? I like to think I'm a logical person who takes a reasoned approach to things, but in the absence of any feedback, I have no way to know if I should modify my approach or in what way. Like I say, screaming into a black hole.

Do you see the problem now?

Yes, I do and agree. Some form of communication in return is important and you're right to point out if that isn't happening. It's just that suggesting anybody has their heads up their whatever - even in jest - isn't helping, because there can be a dozens of good reasons why communication isn't up to an acceptable standard.

Fair enough then. If I were you (provided you haven't done it already), I would try and create a forum topic. I'd also try to capture a gameplay video showing the issue, put it on youtube or another video platform and link it in your topic to back it up. Maybe more people experiencing the issue will speak up.

As you're saying that there was a migration of the ticket system, if you haven't already anyway, maybe create another ticket, refer to the forum topic/video and possibly your old ticket. I know that system migrations can be chaotic and things with lower priority may get lost when there is an overabundance of TODO's.

Yes, because that's exactly what I implied. Right?

Of course you haven't. That's just a overexagerated continuation of your cynical self's not quiet serious assumption people at FD have their heads up their whatever. ;)

Stutter in Hyperspace Jumps

Hi, new here, seeing some complaints about stuttering in hyperspace jumps.

Was having a similar problem with hyperspace jumps. I found that unparking my cores helped immensely. I get 2 stutters now when i first start the jump and then the rest is smooth. I'm on a samsung 840 too. This has also improved general performance in other games too. Basically windows parks the cores it doesn't need until it does and then they take a bit of time to come to life which is what causes the stutter.

I'm not allowed to post links yet, but if you google 'elite unpark cores' the first link that comes up should set you straight

I have noticed a much lower rate of high cred bounties in my areas i hunt in. But I figured maybe the bad guys are moving to less hunted areas and maybe i need to move too. I could get multiple 60k+ bounties randomly in a system before, now I'm lucky to see some in the teens.

I also exprience a kind of weird stutter during gameplay, but I took that as lag related to network and server due to new update downloading and all. Too many variables on my end to narrow it down. I seriously doubt it is not networking related unless there was a serious game regression.

Hi, the only problem I seem to have since v1.07 is the stutter/hang while I'm flying around, it just stops for about 0.75 sec then instantly advances to where it would have been. While drifting around it doesn't seem to be too much of a bother, however in the middle of a dogfight it causes some real problems and is exceptional frustrating.

{Alt/tabbing Problem Solved}

Since 1.05 i have a problem with game, where the game keeps jumping from desktop to game over and over again (every two seconds)
I tried many different things (including a full re-install) with support team.

Eventually one of the support team came up with a solution.
If resolution change doesn't work, it might be worth trying this: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=106149

My Thanks to the support team ^^

Stutter/ non-smooth start to hyperspace has been a problem for me since PremBeta and I have a new system with high-end parts. My rig performs just as you describe. The SC intro seems smoother to me than hyperspace as well. There is probably some cueing up feature of the animation that needs polish.

Core i7 4770K, Geforce GTX770 OC, 16 GB RAM, 256K Neutron SSD (boots like a rocket). Other than the OS and Anti-virus, Elite is the only program on my SSD, everything else goes on a hard-drive for now.

Have you ticketed it?

Hello, never made a ticket for it since I know it is an actual issue with a lot of people, but have to see if someone is getting it with different PC configurations as well (my PC is good but my GPU at this point is not that good mostly because of the vRAM, it can be related to that as well, still kicking though).
Never tried to change the settings in the game or something like that though (I mean turning something off or whatever that can be causing it). Have to check that maybe...but as I said...the game runs quite smooth to me, is just that stutter while starting the hyper-jump animation for like 2 seconds.

Let's see if that "minor problem" persist in the future or it I am correct and has something to do with my network (server and client trying to change info/packages at that time causing the stuttering). I'll tell something if one day I can get something better in my area...or move to other place because I'm tired of the crappy service.

another hour of frustration

Spawning of enemies in plantetary rings has been turned off or to near zero
Come on Frontier, I mean I paid money for the game and instead of making it better you removed the ONLY way to make barely acceptable money as bounty hunter past viper.

You broke the game engine rendering loop for VR so RES can't be used with DK2 and now you remove the only alternative we had.

Another problem I'm having now is that when I get a bounty I no longer get the option to pay it off when I dock, it says no fines even though it says I'm wanted in the same system and how much I have to pay.

With 1.07 the Fine/Bounty/Wanted system is not acting properly. I have had a 400cr fine for loitering that disappear on me. I can not pay it, it's not there in the local security nor my left and right screen. However, others reported that the fine is NOT gone, it's just hidden and as they collected other fines/bounties, it got added to the payable total fine/bounty. Problem is, after 24 hours fines will turn into a bounty, and since we can't pay off these phantom fines and they do turn into bounties (currently there are only anecdotal evidence of this, but the update has just been rolled out), there will be an even higher ticket volume coming FD's way due to CMDRs getting blown by stations due to new bounties that result from phantom fines. Please investigate as soon as possible!

We are aware that our support response hasn't been what it should be and this is no fault of the team working hard through the tickets. We're hiring more people and improving our response process to improve the system which will take time. We are on it though!

Michael
I so wish you guys would leave the old style support system behind and take on a reporting system much like ARMA3's by Bohemia Interactive.
This style allows you to see what bugs have already been reported, allows you to add notes and easily see the status.
It would also make life much easier for your support staff as well, rather than having to check 1000 tickets that 300 could all be for the same bug those 300 would all be one ticket.

Hi there !

I'm happy i'm not the only one to have this problem. I'm in the same case that Eagle Eye.

Yesterday, I hunted an Anaconda elite, I got 111 000 CR from him (the blue right top corner writing appeared).
Happy like a kid, I came back to the station to claim my bounty, the bounty wasn't here...
This morning, I shot by inadvertence a federal security services ship, got 200 CR fine, I go back to the station to pay it (as usual), impossible to pay and regulate my situation.
I said in my hear "ah cool, I finally don't have a fine, Federation is too good with me".
I come back in the Nav Beacon, got tracked by 2 ships of federal security services.
I changed system, and got the same problem on another one when I shoot again a federal ship (I wasn't drunk I swear).

And my friend yesterday night called me so angry, He's been shot down without getting the posibility to leave the station. He started again and was shot down a second time.
He lost 300 000 CR for this. I'm sure this is the same problem that the one Eagle Eye stood out.

Please FD team, investigate and destroy this creepy bug :).

Good luck at there.

Damn - I think I have a bug - accidentally let rip within no fire zone, got a fine, jumped to another system to go pay it at same fac station but no ability to pay it back... it doesnt show up! The station I docked at shows up as me being wanted in the local system map..
