Wanted issue

I'm also having the issue around being wanted but not able to pay the fine at the station this mean I have to leave the game every time I get caught for friendly fire

will want fixed the bug where every time i take a contract for kill pirates and start to kill they, every time arrived ship and my contract is updatate with alternative option type kill federal ship and i need start again to kill pirates because the contract for kill pirates return how i take it in commodies market, is not right so

Be more careful then. Do not hit friendlies. This happens very rarely for me.

then you are so lucky cos many time federal ship across my fire line or collide with my ship and so im "wanted", why dont make is need some continuated hit same ship for to be wanted( example 3) and not one accindental for not our guilty

They should change it so that only hits to the hull count. Scrapes across shields -- no harm no foul. Damage to the hull is way more likely to be deliberate.

EDIT: Sorry I see others have this issue too. Ignore this post

I talked this over with a few mates, that also play the game.

When I accidentally shoot at a cop, I get a 'Wanted' status and go for the nearest station to pay my fine to the fed pilot org I do not get the option to do so. I exit to main menu and go in again and Wanted status is gone. This has only happend to me since 1.07 got in the air.
My mates get this very same thing.

Anyone else have this issue?

Yes. I confirm this. Same thing if you murder few players. Just go to the nearest station, log-off log-on and the wanted status and bounty is gone.
This did not happen before 1.07.

Any chance of a change to the launcher, so it logs you in automatically, instead of you having to select Login?

Sometimes forget to hit Login and end up with the tutorials and then have to drop out and start again, only a little thing, but incredibly annoying

I asked a question in 1.06 update thread, got no answer. Now it is impossible to play.
It seems that any additional "telemetry" adds more bugs to the game. I tried to play today, and game crashed every 2-10 minutes. I was lucky to get one 30 minutes period of gameplay.
Crashes occur randomly, no specific pattern:
- while supercruising
- while fuel-scooping
- during combat
- during docking
- while browsing galaxy map
- while watching asteroid ring at normal space doing nothing, 0-speed

Also this "hidden fine" issue... May be you just remove that "telemetry" and everything turns back to normal? "crash-then-send-logs" is not my type of game, really...

It seems my posts are missed because I am new and posts appear after a delay.
I need to get an answer. Either here or in my ticket. I cannot launch the game now, it is "unable to load resource" at the start.

It makes me so happy to know that when I downloaded this at 1.05, the game was already fully playable, at least in my experience. *cough* other space game that broke my heart </3

Just want to say how good the support has been. I had a login problem caused by a conflict between a load of updates including the Elite Patch. The Elite support guys were the only decent support allowing me to figure it all out in the end.

Thank you.

P.S. This game is getting better every day - although Lave hasn't changed much over the years and the Lavian brandy doesn't seem to sell well. Maybe French rule would be good for it.

Here's an angle into the stutter issue I reported a few messages back as it manifested on my machine. I went to options, audio, and turned sound effects mute to MUTED.

The particular stutter I had here on my PC is now gone. Of course, most sounds except the ship voice are.

I suddenly recalled when I had encountered this issue before, and it had to do with the number of channels that a game uses concurrently. Most modern sounds cards I guess can handle what ED throws at them but perhaps a lot of on board (motherboard) soundcards can't.

For me at least this is a temp fix but the audio gives many necessary cues (like when docking) and atmosphere that now are not provided. The ship voice does work but the engine and environmental sounds are gone. Not that anything in a vacuum has sound anyway but..

For some an audio driver update may help, others may have tested this to no avail already. I hope this helps you, maybe someone can test and see if a different sound card fixes the issue.

i dont know where you get your hardware knowledge from ...but the times when dedicated soundcards were needed to process 128 channels at high bitrates are gone for nearly a decade now. Either your machine is so low end that every single freed up cpu cycle does help or you have a driver issue. Also i highly doubt that a ingame "MUTED" setting does anything at all because its highly unlikely that the sound event is not generated still..but just at volume 0 ...and its just a coincidence that ure stutter went away.

I've just shot a wanted ship and was instantly slapped with a bounty on my head, not good especially when you cant clear the bounty at the moment without restarting the game.

The same happened to me today and I had to restart the client for it to clear. :)

Happened to me and I was taken out by a swarm of "reds" at the station as well as the station itself - lost 200+k credits as I was killed and I had to buy my Cobra back.

(I had flown into the station intending to clear the bounty - I could not find the bounty - and I forgot to restart the game - and flew out - and all hell broke loose!)

Good to see that i was not the only one who lost a ship, jumped to so many stations to pay my fine, then the last one couple of shots and boom dead.

@Sabrehawk - That's what I thought too, last time I experienced these stutters was a decade ago or so. Like I said, the issue popped up after the 1.06 update and it doesn't seem likely that its related to audio. But when I remove the sound effects from the game, the stuttering in my case is far less, others experience no difference. So how does that compute?

This is an issue that is experienced by many such as myself with high end systems, your answer does little to allievate the unplayability, it really adds nothing.

Sorry for my tone but this is an issue that for some makes the game near- or totally unplayable since beta and we'd all appreciate it if Frontier paid attention to the various threads and tickets.

Getting this all the time in 1.07 - doesn't matter if you shoot cops, innocents etc, or whatever faction their allegiance is to - the result is the same. Can't pay the bounty, and if you log out, then back in - no bounty!
