I was affected by the crash to desktop in universal cartographics - but now I'm not.

I have been able to sell almost all my exploration data but hit a problem with the last page of data which I detailed in Ticket #00000038093.

is the trading market going to be balanced out for bigger ships (t-9 and anaconda) so we can use a run more than once?
its mostly got something to do with the "bulk tax".

Wow I haven't seen a game push out this many hotfixes this fast in awhile... Good on you guys, most companies today would just be like "whatever push it out next week"

Nah, won't happen for a while yet. This is why.

Does this mean there are more Kickstarter backer provided NPC names coming into the game now, or from another source? Or is it the database that controls NPC ship loadouts?

If you want more NPC chatter text, I've started a thread for us to write it for Frontier.

While persistent NPC's capable of doing things on their own (mining, hauling, hunting for credits when no player is around) are mostly out of the question due to all the real-time stuff being done by someone in the P2P instance, there can still be persistent NPC's in stations (aka bulletin board agents), persistent NPC's passengers (players moving said NPC's around from station to station via missions), as well persistent NPC's in space forced onto your PC by the server. For example; take a mission to assist an NPC character in system A, more details when you arrive and talk to him. Once you jump into the system the server sends the location of the NPC USS to your PC (only your PC), you lock on, exit SC and the NPC is there, powered by your PC with mission instructions from the server. At this point other people in your P2P instance would become aware of the NPC as well.

It's most apparent with the music. I can barely hear it anymore. I can hear the higher frequencies but not the lower ones, but it isn't tinny. It's muffled. 1.103 hasn't fixed this.

Umm, "muffled" generally denotes a low-pass filter type effect or an overall drop in volume, so you're contradicting yourself here..

(..and 1.1 seemed to have horrible overcooked low frequencies in some places (e.g. SC), like a hatchback driven by a spotty teenager in a town centre car park of a Saturday evening, which were somewhat headache-inducing on my normal solid work "go to" sound editing/recording headphones, and only sounded acceptable on a far cheaper gaming headset.. boo..)

Was removing the ability to disable the UI in outfitting so we could take screenshots of our own ships intentional, or should I ticket this as a bug? It was, to my knowledge, the only way we could capture images of our own ships. Now there is no way to remove the two text boxes with the outfitting info, which both cover parts of the ship at some point or another.

1.1.03 seems to have fixed all of my connection issues. I went from multiple crashes every hour to no crashes over the course of 3-4 hours. Unfortunately, there still seems to be a bit of a problem with stuttering, although it's significantly less severe coming from 1.1.02. The problem occurs more frequently around gas giants and space stations, and lowering graphics settings has no effect from my observations.

Unfortunately not in Japan!

Just waited hours for 1.1.02 to trickle down, crash and now load 1.1.03!

Oh well, see how it goes!
:D

Your not alone, Australia here... last night I left my computer to download for 5 hours!!!!!!!!! 5 HOURS...& by the time I turned it off to go to bed it had only downloaded 60%. I wasn't going to waste another cent on electricity or one more meg on downloading this POC until frontier fix up their 1980 crap. Its like dial up!!!!!!!!! Frontier you are seriously losing friends.

How's planetary landing? 10 new ships? The button to push to get instant 100M credits? Groups and Guilds like in w.o.w.? Coffee maker?!

I don't know if you're aware but this fixed my problem of speed download :

"Could you also please open the control panel on your PC; select 'Internet Options'. Select the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN settings' and make sure "Automatically detect settings" is unticked."

I thought that in the stations everything sounded like it had been freshly oiled and was moving very smoothly...

Agreed - I haven't checked since today's patch, but yesterday, this was an improvement, not a bug. The lift drifted down with the weight of the ship, no need for actuators - I hope this hasn't been 'fixed' :(

I did some bounty hunting in nav point of ltt 1044. I have bounty of 74 659 credits in aristocrats of ltt 1044. There is only one station in the system and it's owned by blue pirates. Does that mean that there's is no such thing than aristocrats of ltt 1044. Who is going to pay the bounty for me?
