Another update, another evening watching a sync files rate of 0MB/s.
You guys really need to sort out your servers, downloads are becoming a joke and have me very close to asking for a refund because I have paid for something I can't use for large periods of time!

I've sync'd a few times. notification indicated 0mb/s but the progress bar was moving and i've never sync'd for more than 20 mins.. sure its long, somewhat, but it was working despite the indicated progression speed... Did you let it do its thing or do you exit?

Second, why the heck are the updates so slow to download? It usually takes several *minutes* while displaying "Downloading manifest", and then again the download itself is really, really slow - loading a few chunks really quickly, then sitting around, then some more progress, again some minutes doing nothing... I'm on an i7 and have a 100Mbit pipe, so that can't be it. Why aren't you using some nice CDN, or S3, or hell, even BitTorrent? (Maybe you're already doing one of these but heck, it doesn't feel like it.)

I'm not so sure it's the servers.
The reason I'm saying this is because every time I personally had issues with downloading an update it has always been solved by rebooting the router (completely, turn it off, wait a minute, turn back on) and restarting my computer. I'm not really sure why this works, but hey...give it a go. Have not had this problem for quite some time though...

Now i only hope that the sound goes back to the awesome speaker blowing violent and loud state it was on 1.0, current FSD and engine roars are not raw and aggressive as it was.
I always think I've got a nest of tweety birds in the room. Or should that be cockpit?

So no word yet on the regression in supporting non-qwerty keyboard layouts since 1.1.
And no tractor beam / grab claw type mechanism to replace the cup game currently needed to mine. <-- mining is crippled in every respect (the beam is slow, the amount you can take is limited to like 6 pieces, roids are un-markable, retrieving ore is a joke, and you still have to manually add items to the refinery even if there are empty slots). Making it a lot more exiciting is easy. Make it fast paced, and bring in pirates more often. This not only limits mining without making every single process slow, but it also introduces mechanisms that will benefit Wings when that comes out since you can have escort support protecting a dedicated miner ship.
ps. why is ship integrity repairs separate from "repair all" that is just misleading and should be addressed. I've always caught it but I'm sure plenty haven't. Also, Interdicting shouldn't lead to damage if you've won your little blue scale game and have no red. I love FSD causing damage and such even when I've taken none from enemies, coming back to a base after killing criminals and not getting scratched and having 10k in ship integrity repairs (NOT).

1.1.04 is Brilliant! The very first system I jumped to had an Earth-Like in it.
Super update Fd. I've been taking a break for a few day's so only just seen the awesome knew graphics unfortunately 4x supersampling kills my overclocked 780. Can any one tell me how well this game scales with Sli. At the moment I'm not sure weather to wait for big Maxwell (GM 200) or to try and pick up a cheap 780 before they dry up....
You could try flushing your DNS before you do this - it is really doing the same thing. Type something like 'how do I flush my dns' into google for info.
Arg! This came just a few hours too late to help me. I was stuck with a 50k voucher redeemable at Sirius. Having searched this web for all info on getting a Sirius Permit - and failing to find any missions from Sirius Corp on any of the neighbouring star systems, I gave up last night. Now today I find they fixed it so I could sell my 50k voucher at Procyon, but too late.
Well we still need a Sirius Permit before we can complete cargo missions to Sirius, but at least half of this bug is now fixed.
EDIT: I just checked and my bounty was still there. Strange, I thought they were removed after 24 hours?? Landed at Luyten's Star and collected the cash. Thanks FD.
