Update 1.1.3

First of all I do love this game and have a lot of respect to the developers.
Nice to see these guys keep on delivering good work and do listen to the gamers.

Thanks for the update but I do have two remarks regarding :

1. New supports : they do look a lot nicer but where are the supports for the vertical loopings in the American Arrow looping coaster? I built a nice one but now the looping itself just seems to float in the air. I tried to build a new one but every time I place a vertical loop there are no supports for it...so it doesn't quit look realistic.

2. Love the new flatride, but does it have to have it's name embedded on it? It's looks a bit weird if you want to give it another name and it still sais Scizzer.

Grts.

Awesome, I have just finished downloading the update and about to play. It looks like a few decent bugs will have been fixed. Lets see how she drives now :D

Have i ever mentioned i love you all?

The new Flatride looks really amazing!! I love those old school rides [big grin]

And thank you VERY much for fixing some of the bugs! it's awesome to see my queue lines grow even bigger :D
Can't wait to play around with this update !! Thanks Frontier!!

Does that mean you'll be able to do some work now? :D

Looking forward to the update myself. :)

Love the new light animation sequence on the Kickflip (Zipper) and the fact it now uses the custom ride colours you choose for the lights also :)

This update does more than I ever anticipated!
It also shows good things come to those who wait, patiently. And that things are not as easy to implement as it is to type out the request/complaint. [up]

Wowie wow wowww!!

Thats a long list of improvements. And a new flat ride. Somehow oddly, Im most excited about the new guests thoughts. It can add some more to the meta game. So long as its implemented right. Plus new songs, guest brain tweaks.

Kudos to the dev team and the community managers for help making this happen ^_^

Its gonna be a looong work day =/

Missing signs

.....and again an update without the missing ride and shop signs. I really don't understand this fact. What's the problem here? It sounds crazy but as long as the missing signs are not part of an update or as long as the game give us not a possibility to integrate own signs for me the game is uncomplete. Sorry, but how difficult it could be to give the missing signs within an update. Every time I read that you listen to the community and in many issues I think you really listen. But in this point nothing happens, really nothing. I don't know how many mails I have written in this Forum about the fact of the missing signs but nothing happens. Update, per update I hoped to get them, but nothing happens. In the last mail I asked you if the missing signs will be part of an next update, but no answer. And I'm not the only one, really not. I know that shop or ride signs maybe are not the most important part of the game but they should be exist to complete the game. Please make an 52years old man lucky and let the missing signs be part of the next update, please!!

Oh whats their address, I too would like to send the mails....[uhh]

but really are you saying that a ride sign is more important than fixing game breaking features...[rolleyes]

Just because they didnt fix the problem you are complaining about does not mean they dont listen

Sorry that these got left out again - let me try and explain why this happens. Development of Planet Coaster continues (with lots of exciting things that I can't talk about right now) on a day to day basis, and changes are committed to source control in the "trunk" (or "mainline"). When we do a "smaller" update like this - the "double point" updates, we use the previous update as a base and selectively merge (or " cherry pick") fixes for specifically highlighted issues, or new features on to the new update from this trunk. When we do a "big update", such as the 1.1 Holiday Update we take this from the trunk, including all the fixes that have been made up until this point.

The reason we don't merge everything on to smaller patches like this is that it takes a great deal of time to merge and test all of these changes. Basing every point update on the trunk isn't really practical either as again the testing burden would be much higher, and we'd have to go through and remove lots of in progress features that aren't currently ready.

So this is why the new signs have been missing from updates - they simply haven't been merged to the "1.1.x" patches yet, but will be included in 1.2.

Cheers

Andy

Amazing as always! :D Good to see the improvements to the coaster supports! I can now start building some more coasters in my current project, now I can build with the supports in mind!

Thanks again! and keep up the great work, I look forward to testing all this out when I get back from work! :D

Also thanks for the reply Andy! It's good to see that you're taking the time to test everything before releasing updates, and not just putting it all out and hoping for the best. :D
