Update 11 Patch Notes

Definitely a bug. I have no shipyard, but could only disembark when the landing pad for my ship was raised, not when in the hangar.
Was probably meant to be the other way round?

There's one more mission type I'd really, really like to see - RESCUE.

You have prison cells in some of the settlement types, so it would be cool to land, find prisoner, open cell and release. Next you'd have to safely escort them back to a rescue ship (or taxi).
Totally +1 to that. I thought the same when I saw the cells, both at settlements and prison ships. We NEEED rescue missions :) And I'm sure they planned them because of the cells on settlements.

There's no Apex service available for Fleet Carriers nor will Apex drop people off at them. There's a few reasons for this, including not wanting players to get stranded (especially newer players who are more likely to use Apex).
What if, in addition to the warnings you already get when you try to book an Apex (not a valid destination, hostile settlement, etc.), it would only allow you to take an Apex to or from an FC if you're the owner and/or a squadron member? Would also be interested to hear the other reasons if you could be bothered, just to know if it's useful to bring up again once you come around to rounding up requested features somewhere in the future.

Did anyone really ask for something like this?

It's not that different from what's been in ships forever or in concourses since the EDO alpha.

It would be nice if they showed relevant info, but then what would they show?

I still see flickering, jagged-edged shadows in the cockpit of the ship, flying in the direction of the star. Ultra graphics settings.

Stars are point lights and cast different shadows. What you're seeing is shadow acne caused by poor depth bias settings.

thats an oversimplification, but somehow I doubt its as simple, remember they are still running two instances of the server (odyssey & horizons) for pc & consoles and the servers have to track what each player is doing as well as the NPCs in the open instances....there is alot going on

Instances are hosted locally and while there are intermittent updates to server side CMDR data, that's not the case for NPCs, who exist on client systems and nowhere else.

Achieving a lifetime's ambition - to be a comic coverall for a passenger seat (offset).

That was always the curious thing, Frontier had no plans for the current generation of consoles long before they had no plans for the previous generation of consoles.

Bit of a give away perhaps?
Possibly, but at the time they announced that policy no one had the now current generation consoles as they were the next generation ones, so everyone on console and running the game used the the then current now previous generation gear.

11 updates in...still have terrible frame rates in places that shouldn't have terrible frame rates after 11 updates.

But hey we get Fleet Carrier interiors for some reason. Cool I guess.
You have terrible frame rates ? everywhere ? what CPU and Graphics card do you have ? Are your graphics on Ultra ? Playing in 1080 or UHD ?

I've an R5 1600 and a 6600XT. My system basically meets (or exceeds in some cases) the recommended requirements, and the bits where it differs aren't different enough to have a huge impact.

I usually play at 1080p medium with FSR. Doesn't matter the setting, as it has little to no effect. Also not everywhere. The not-Odyssey bits are fine FPS wise. Its just any part that was changed or added by Odyssey that is annoying slow.
