There's no Apex service available for Fleet Carriers nor will Apex drop people off at them. There's a few reasons for this, including not wanting players to get stranded (especially newer players who are more likely to use Apex).

You are not EA

No thank goodness they are not! I have experienced first-hand what it is like to have a game suddenly stop working because EA decided to pull the plug. I used to play a WW2 flight sim called Air Warrior which was way ahead of its time and I enjoyed many hours playing with squad-mates. Then EA took it over and within a year it was closed down - on 7 December 2001.

This! An excedingly good point.

Fleet Carrier interiors will feature escape pods, meaning that any player stranded aboard another Commander’s carrier will be able to abandon ship.

The words petard and hoisted spring to mind!

Are these even "monitored" at the moment? Because there are some good hints for better translations. Or should we raise an issue to transmit a suggestion?

Which specific option will affect checkerboard?

There'll be a specific toggle for it. It'll just be on by default for people on low, mid and high settings.

I'm a bit disappointed by this, sometimes it's nice to do on-foot stuff and not worry about flying. It would have been nice to be able to Apex to stations to pickup and turn in missions.

Maybe FCs can have a way to have a mission board connect to the mission board at a station in the system it's in?
