me too, I enjoy the game (although on my 5 year old Laptop with 45-60 FPS in HD rather borderline....).....I typically don't care as I enjoy the game anyway...and that is my foremost criteria...am I enjoying the game...

Unless you have phantom pads, like these:No, it just lowers & raises... It is only in stations they slide & rotate.
Or at least on my FCs they just go up and down.
It's a performance issue for us.No doubt others will feel that way also, Frontier are not unaware of some player's loathing of EDO's planetary tech, perhaps they have already accounted for the expected wastage and anticipate new sales of EDO to the console transfers and the current Horizons but no EDO players buying, to negate the loss of players who feel unable to move along with the game.
Are we sure he didn't mean on Youtube? Thanks appreciate the response. There’s been a lot of chatter amongst us peasants as to what this meant for the Azi saga.
The I5 is likely the weakest link as far as EDO goes on that PC - I can play EDO on my laptop with a 1070 (with limitations) but that has a 2 generation newer I7.I can't imagine 2nd PC running EDO
Well said! And I can't imagine playing without the misses.
Pads on carriers don't slide forwards the way they do on stations, they only go up and down.how "realistic" ED is one easily can see with FD´s design of FC´s!
Supposedly your platform shall lower and slide backwards into parking position (thats what U experience eg. when going to the concourse).
By design of FD thats not possible as the platforms are directly adjacent, hence mechanically would overlap..... or like M-Pad 9 that parking position would be in space.....

edit: with M-Stations the same btw.....
Best AA in ED is running in supersampling 2.0x, but even my 3080ti can only handle that in space, not on foot.Is that terrible aliasing something I have to look forward to in Horizons 4.0?
I have no problem with how Horizons looks on my computer with 1.25 supersample, but I've read that Odyssey (and thus Horizons 4.0) has worse aliasing.Best AA in ED is running in supersampling 2.0x, but even my 3080ti can only handle that in space, not on foot.
None actually...that I can see anyway...horizontal lines be a plague...I have no problem with how Horizons looks on my computer with 1.25 supersample, but I've read that Odyssey (and thus Horizons 4.0) has worse aliasing.
It's about the same, actually (poor). You do notice a lot more when you're on foot, in settlements, etc. though. It really needs to be upgraded.I have no problem with how Horizons looks on my computer with 1.25 supersample, but I've read that Odyssey (and thus Horizons 4.0) has worse aliasing.
Oh no… Bruce? Are we sure he didn't mean on Youtube?
......and everyone lived happily ever after.
The End

Odyssey is all about giving players moire than they were getting with Horizons.I have no problem with how Horizons looks on my computer with 1.25 supersample, but I've read that Odyssey (and thus Horizons 4.0) has worse aliasing.
Including the Thargoids?Well I'm confident every version of Elite will see the end of the Azimuth Saga, since on tick a player message will read:
It said 'everyone' not 'everything'.Including the Thargoids?
yes, console players will see the conclusion of Azimuth Saga on PC using free version (Horizons 4.0) given by FDev in September or later on - is it something like this?
It will read:Including the Thargoids?
