Uh all you need to do is turn off AMD FSR and return to Native upscaling. Odyssey is not blurry, your settings make it like that.
Two separate galaxies. Totally separate. Two commanders, two sets of ships, two FCs, two material inventories. "You" can't drive to A in legacy and B in live. You can drive your legacy commander to A and your live commander to B. What you do in one has no effect on the other. How many times does this need to be said?
Don't get me wrong I am welcome of change, I'm just hoping it goes over well, and it's not too much too fast sort of thing. I just don't want "Timing" to be an issue cited by gaming mags in 6 months.

As an explorer I'm actually very happy to read that. This means I can revisit locations made with the old planet generation system whenever I want in legacy mode for the nostalgia.

Well crap, that isn't the final nail in the console and non 4.0 PC version of the game!!!...
This is terrible and crazy, CGs are one of the most fun and engaging things in the game and they just cut out 50% or more of their playerbase!!
Hopefully when enough people complain and CG involvement drops through the floor, they change their minds!
In the name of all that is "holy", will Frontier PLEASE at least release "next gen" versions of the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X, so those of us that don't play on PC can properly play the game again!
I wasn't too bother not getting Odyssey on consoles, but now we're losing CGs too, I've very little reason to keep playing the game!
IF there's any point, as this stage, for what it's worth, I call on everybody who reads this to protest and complain to Frontier about how they're are and have been treating all but their "chosen few" on PC version 4.0 of late, and anywhere else you discuss or see Elite being discussed to reverse this decision and as said, at least release "next gen" versions of the game, even if they really want to kill off all but PC 4.0 right now!
I like your glass-half-full approach. One of the reasons I gave up on my own little BGS agenda is that I kept getting steamrolled by PMFs who gobbled up the entire galaxy. If only ten of us are playing 3.8, it will make for much more interesting "solo" BGS operations.
Speaking of glass-half-full, I was picturing a galaxy free of endless system map-destroying fleet carriers. But then I realized that most of you have YEARS of support credits in your carrier banks. So please, those of you with a conscience and a soul, consider either decommissioning your 3.8 carriers or moving them to an uninhabited system (of which there are plenty in the Bubble).
Heck, I'd be cool if Frontier completely removed ALL carriers from 3.8, and I own a carrier! It would free up a lot of processing on the server side.
Question - my carrier will continue to exist separately in Odyssey regardless whether or not I buy Odyssey, yes? Maybe I'll reenable all the services before the great schism, so people who encounter it (it's way out in deep space) can at least get some benefit from it.

No upscaling, and you can actually see from this screenshow how diffused the fonts look, horizon fonts looks crispy.
So it won't be possible to keep my console Cmdrs aboard their PC equivalents carriers.

So in regards to console transfers, am I to understand that FDev believes "indefinitely" means two months? And "enough time to react" is only six days (during a holiday week when many aren't even at home?) which is less time than it takes to decommission a carrier? Because those were the terms clearly defined by FDev, and the only reason many of us stopped complaining about being abandoned by Frontier on console.Greetings Commanders,

something wrong on your PC somewhere, delete the graphics config dir and relaunch? Always good to get back to default if there is an issue to troubleshoot

That makes no difference to me (as I understand it anyway, that GForce only works on Xbox and not Playstation!), I play on Playstation and want to continue playing on Playstation!!
I've no interest in PC gaming or streaming PC gaming for that matter, and IF Frontier made JUST a bit more effort, they could at least allow many of us to continue playing the game properly on "next gen" consoles, even IF they want to pull this "Legacy" nonsense on "last gen" consoles and 3.8 PC
