Legacy seems alive now.
As long as your cheating doesn’t break the EULA and any other terms and conditions nor give you an unfair advantage over your fellow players in Legacy then

The EULA applies to both the Live and Legacy versions of the game. Using cheats contravenes the EULA.

Its a funny situation. I discovered old Horizons isolation by chance. I could be flying in 3.8 for months till figured out that I am isolated and far far away from my clone in 4 version. "Prerfect" customer care, FDev. Many people are still flying in parallel reailty. What a surprise when they wake up!

I'm in Legacy atm, moving my Carrier back to the bubble for storage. On the mode select (open/group/solo) screen there is a message reminding you that "Progress does not transfer between Main and Legacy galaxies".
I am far from convinced that there is any benefit to customers (other than the legacy game being playable at all) to the split but I think they have taken reasonable steps to ensure legacy players understand the situation.
For me its not enough to understand details. Sorry. What is "Main Galaxy"? Now I understand, but reading message is totally unclear.

On the launcher there are descriptions for both Odyssey & Legacy too (just above the news section for Odd & the only thing shown where news normally is for Legacy).
Hi everyone. Need help, I used to play ED daily on my PS4 but after the support dropped I stopped playing. Since then I was waiting for the PS4 to PC transfer but guess what My head was under the rock for this whole time. A recent comment on youtube made me aware that transfer started since september. The ability to transfer your CMDR to PC ended with the release of Update 14 and was announced 7 days in advance.
You'll need to wait for the service to be reopened which is slated for some time in Q1 2023 (January to March), and then the amount of data capable to be transferred will be limited compared to what was possible before.
Sorry to say it, but you are stuck on PS4 3.8 for now.
