And I'll stay in Legacy, hoping that a bunch of cowboys shooting at everything that moves recklessly will move out to brawl with thargoids. Here, peace and friendly treatment of each other will return - as in the community of explorers. You will be able to play in Open mode with your buddies. Looks promising?
I'm not quitting the forums, just Horizons 3.8 (thanks to Frontier's barbaric "It's clobbering time!" update manager). The irony is this might force me to try 4.0 earlier than originally planned, so "quit" is relative. So basically you can RP you have retired on a nice ELW planet somewhere. Then, when the death of billions of people is too much to bear, you return to the saddle.
By the way, anyone knows how many people have died so far? What was the population of the affected systems? I mean, I was not much into fighting Thargs before, but if you think of the scale right now, it is difficult to remain neutral.
A shame there are no evacuate missions from the systems where the other stargoids are soon arriving. The population should be panicking.

Legacy Elite Dangerous is (I presume) the Non-Horizons base game - i.e. no planetary landings etc - what we (I) use to recover to orbit if we (I) have a stuck SRV (obviously only in Legacy Horizons).

And it's also why they needed to add a recovery option to the 4.0 client when splitting it from Legacy, since that split removed the option to use this fix.

I just went into the game and checked this. Yes it is the default "legacy" Elite Dangerous base game and yes the recover to orbit works as before.
Weird, I seen it in open even in odyssey. Peacefull, chill game, even with random players. Cooperation and friend requests. Are we plaing in one game, or it it just another "was in open once, of course in deciat" nonsene?
legacy mode has no on foot mission. so iti is pointless. same horizon legacy
