I have never killed a thargoid ? But I also understand that it's an easy story to sell ( most sci fi is battling against the odds and winning because... well we are humans ) I'm of the long term opinion that it was a numbers game with Fdev massaging the numbers to "drag ?"
The story over 2 years ?
Unfortunately the bubble was never going to burn. The story will finish and maybe we get thargoid power play faction ??
We have 4 new ships .
Yes I'm disappointed with the push of the combat side of things but that's life . I'm still exploring.
It's not whinging it's just saying there is more to elite than a combat don't forget about us . We will never know how many are actively invested in the story and Fdev will never tell .

Still the same for me. I open Carrier Management and I have to look up and behind to see my carrier; menus, as before are in the correct position directly in front of me.

It depends on what the Thargoids role in PP2.0 is apart from the obvious one of being in charge.

I cut my Elite Dangerous ship combat teeth fighting Thargoid Scouts. No engineering or guardian unlocks required.

Lasers, Decontamination Limpet Controller, Repair Limpet Controller, Shields (optional), Armor and Hull Reinforcements are all normal modules and can be bought nearly everywhere.

Enhanced AX Multicannons and Enhanced AX Missile Racks are available at the Rescue Megaships.

Then all you need are a hull (Chieftain or Krait II) and the Xeno Scanner (so you can see how much hull your AX target has left) and Shutdown Field Neutralizer (for use against the shutdown field produced by Interceptors) and a Cargo Rack for your limpets.

Fast engines are a good thing to have as well.

Yes they said it was the wrong translation. But the thread linked was saying it was a different word being used, and that has just been pointed out in the thread it's a word that is used in German.

As a non native speaker though I don't fully understand, but it has at least been passed on :)

Hi All :)

Okay seriously, so I've been playing the game more or less straight after the update yesterday. I notice that at least one bug that's been niggling me has been fixed?
Enabling or disabling some of the Carrier Services while in the game wasn't working properly before this present update (U18). I had to log out the game and log in to re-set it.
Now it's working as it's supposed to! (y) Yay!, Cheers Frontier. (okay I'm easily pleased, so what :p)
And.....Am I imagining it?...or has the games background music had some 'enhancement' added with U18?

Right! ...back to selling some mined metals & minerals. And...(not seriously)....Oh, btw, did anybody check out Jameson's memorial for an enhanced gravity well restrictor module?
Can't seem to find any that's compatible to fit out my Panther Clipper or Python MK2 anywhere! 🤷‍♂️

At first, I get excited by this update, but once again I feel disappointed. It has a taste of unfinished job.
Main point of this update is about taking down Titan... but here is the spoiler part.


To conclude
Its just about farming, farming. Yes, the first attempt required a wing of 20+ cmdrs… Thargoids wars is a good think for players workings together to achieve a goal. But for players like me, that use to plays in small groups (hard to have more than 2 or 3 of my friends connected at the same times) This kind of activity is just not doable for us. I just feel put apart of those activity. And I just go back to uninteresting old farming mechanism….
