You tell me... Should I be happy that this wasn't addressed in the latest update?

No.

It does affect me, Anaconda is my main ship. I honestly think the other issues were MUCH more important.

Also, you have asked me to tell you how you should feel and I did. Why are you're being salty about it towards me? If you didn't want my opinion, and instead just wanted me to confirm your point of view, perhaps you should have added that bit to your post, so I could happily ignore it then?

Think about this in the future.

I imagine if you were completely locked out of the game and wouldn't have that change for another couple of weeks, your priorities on fixes might be changed yet again.

Here's the difference, and as a future ED owner, I really hope you can understand and appreciate this some day:

When FD released 2.3 a few weeks ago, it started locking people out of their game. Completely. A product THEY purchased they can not play.

YOU haven't purchased ED yet. But imagine you did. THAT is where you'll be as a second rate citizen of Elite Dangerous.

Well, it got fixed in this release, no? Didn't they confirmed the main menu bug was fixed?

We are talking about a minor-number release here; 2.3.01. It's a bugfix release, and one which fixes a lot of rather important bugs.

The Anaconda bridge bug, though. I rather like that clean look as I've said in other threads. And be honest with yourself - is it a showstopper bug? Should FDEV have de-allocated resources from one or more of the real showstopper bugs in order to fix just that one thing you're apparently finding so desperately important?

Some perspective is required, IMO.

I'm sure they'll get around to - sadly - making the Anaconda bridge look like an old used toilet again eventually, perhaps when 2.3.1 gets rolled out. But for now perhaps a little bit of patience would go a long way.

This is how quality erodes over time. Players are willing to concede the lesser screw ups in exchange for more game breaking bugs to be fixed instead. Eventually you end up with something far lower in quality than what you started out with. Simply because more and more of the user base is willing to bend over and accept less.

Not me. I will keep demanding these things be addressed despite the insults and other idiocy from the Apologists.

The release that Xbox isn't getting?

You seriously are just trolling and not paying attention.

As for the Xbox stuff, things like the Xbox One Main Game Menu issues will be fixed in a forthcoming update. Sorry.

Ah yes, sorry. I was under the impression they've fixed it for you in the server-side update. Does this affect all XB players? None of you can play the game at all currently?

As an Xbox E-D player until last year, I wish I could say something that helped, mate. I know how the softlock bug is effecting Xbox users since I'm still around the Xbox section of the forum and it is, in comparison to the issues that effected PC users, a far more serious issue. Being locked out of the game totally is a tad more irksome than the galaxy map not working. A month for a fix is also beyond belief...Microsoft certification aside.

I said my piece on the current arrangement of Drew's event in the Xbox section and how it was a smack in the teeth to those in the Xbox E-D community basically locked out of participation because of the bug.... no need to rehash it here except to say I'm kinda embarrassed by the PC master race eejits who offered such childish platformist comments on this thread alone.

I'm staying out of the whole Salome event since the last thing this entire community needs is another PC open mode circle jerk.

My thoughts exactly. Although I found the salt joke funny, I couldn't understand the attitude

it is funny, i did laugh. i was merely pointing at the 'irony' in it

However! the majority around here seems to have taken it lightly and had no issue with it.

yeah, me too. not making a fuss at all about it. i'm also very happy there was a hotfix to begin with. the worry is, like you said, if frontier realize that the current process doesn't really cut it, and if they are wondering what to do about so this doesn't stall the development of this truly great game that seems more wacky with each iteration.

Which is a good thing. But you already posted 20 times about it in the last 20 minutes, despite already getting an official answer.

Well, I haven't insulted you. All I've done is given you an explanation to probably why the fix is not in.

We can play but are crashing frequently. At least once an hour.
Soft lock is fixed by clearing save. Minor but very annoying as it resets EVERYTHING.
Keybinds
Sound
Deadzones
Crimes
Orbitlines etc.

Its really quite inconvenient.

Point taken. I would be plenty upset to be locked out of a game I purchased. That said, we don't know why Frontier was able to release a patch for PC before Xbox. I really doubt it's because Frontier said in one of their meetings, "screw you Xbox users, we love our PC players more". Ironically, I've read plenty of PC users complaining that Frontier is dumbing down ED so it will be a great console game. It's like listening to siblings argue over who daddy loves more.

Anyway, if you are locked out of ED on your Xbox and have to wait weeks for a fix, that is a very legitimate reason to be fuming, I'll definitely grant you that.

Fair enough, I wasn't aware. I have more understanding now. Thanks for explaining!
