Patch Notes Update Update 2.3.01

This is how quality erodes over time. Players are willing to concede the lesser screw ups in exchange for more game breaking bugs to be fixed instead. Eventually you end up with something far lower in quality than what you started out with. Simply because more and more of the user base is willing to bend over and accept less.

Not me. I will keep demanding these things be addressed despite the insults and other idiocy from the Apologists.

I don't think he conceded anything ! What he said was that it was not a priority issue that should have taken more importance or time over actual fixes.
In this he is complete correct. I mean of course game breaking bugs take precedence over, what in your opinion is, a screw-up.

No-one is bending over here. Some prefer the Anaconda the way it is now and don't even see it as an issue (well apart from the overly bright sensor display). You think it's important because YOU want it back the way it was.

You keep demanding all you want but if you're going to exhaust time and effort into that, make it for something worthwhile.

Well it looks like the galaxy map 'distance' bug is still there - unless this is the way it's meant to be now.
In 2.2 you could select a system, even very far away ones, that were either bookmarked, had friends in them and I think engineer bases too.
Now you can't. I wonder why that changed and if it will get a fix.

As an Xbox E-D player until last year, I wish I could say something that helped, mate. I know how the softlock bug is effecting Xbox users since I'm still around the Xbox section of the forum and it is, in comparison to the issues that effected PC users, a far more serious issue. Being locked out of the game totally is a tad more irksome than the galaxy map not working.

I said my piece on the current arrangement of Drew's event in the Xbox section and how it was a smack in the teeth to those in the Xbox E-D community basically locked out of participation because of the bug.... no need to rehash it here except to say I'm kinda embarrassed by the PC master race eejits who offered such childish platformist comments on this thread alone.

I'm staying out of the whole Salome event since the last thing this entire community needs is another PC open mode circle jerk.

I may end up joining the PC side of the fence if my work rig ever blows up. Its not a big deal to upgrade at that point but I'm in no hurry to rush out and do it tomorrow.

Although I must admit. The attitude on PC is offsetting as can be

AWWWWE Thanks Mole. I knew I loved you.

I don't want anyone to miss out on content for any reason, let alone because of FD's -poor planning.

But you're right, these PC guys sittin back and sipping their tea and sniping stupid comments out because they don't understand the nature of just how screwy FD is making it for Xbox players.. has got my jimmy's rustled.

Farmed salt from the community for usage later.

Thanks for the patch. I look forward to giving it a run tonight and see how much it actually fixes. No fix for the autopilot logic?

However,

I think its a bit cavalier to be commenting on how you're "farming salt" from the community, particularly since you, the developers, are directly responsible for releasing such a bag of bugs in this particular release.

You should be apologizing for this horrid, premature release instead of making light of all the disappointment you generated!

Hah! Hah! Funny! (NOT)

Flame away....

The release that Xbox isn't getting?

You seriously are just trolling and not paying attention.

I'm sure the XBOX patch is forthcoming.

One doesn't have to look any further than this page to know that you guys really don't care about clamping down on the PC-master-race guys.

And you don't exactly help the situation when you release patches like this.

You know, I went from actually feeling empathy for your situation to why don't you just take that chip off your shoulder and stop feeling so entitled? Everyone has their own lives and priorities, and unfortunately we can't all cater to your needs. Grow up, the world doesn't revolve around you.

"Farmed salt from the community for later use" :D

Utterly brilliant and cheered up a crummy day due to work :S

Didn't Brett just confirmed to you that lighting issues are further down the list?

Yes, Conda cockpit is lit badly now, it does need fixing. But it's not as urgent as map pop up, infinite ammo or drastic FPS drops.

Did he? I haven't had time to read through this entire thread yet. If he did indeed "finally" acknowledge this as something that needs to be corrected then my job is finally done! That would be the first official response to this by anyone at Frontier other than support acknowledging receipt of the bug reports.

And I am not trying to claim that the Anaconda Cockpit lighting is as serious an issue as those you mentioned, but if you are using this ship out in deep space with no external lighting sources to be found within 100 Ly, yet your dashboard is lit up like Las Vegas, it does tend to be a little higher up the list than those who don't fly this ship.

Well, I haven't insulted you. All I've done is given you an explanation to probably why the fix is not in.

I wasn't referring to you Colin. The insults I was referring to were blatant and in no way veiled.

Bablefish or whatever his name is, is the poster I was referring to there.

P.S. Still looking for this apparent reply from Mr. Brookes.
