Did I miss something somewhere?? HEY DEVS!!!! I DO NOT WANT TO COME OUT AT 0 THROTTLE so a punk can hit me with an interdictor and dump me into normal space right next to a star.

I have a CP-48 Keyboard macro that initiated the jump and then sets me to 5% throttle. I would like to keep things that way.

This is what the patch notes say: "Changes made to the throttle at any point during a hyperspace jump should now be preserved properly." Can you confirm that your macro still works as expected?

Ok. So it is not saying that the throttle will be automatically set to 0 (ZERO) when you exit at the targeted system.

It is saying that when you jump, if you don't make throttle adjustments during the countdown, that you will be able to make them while in HYPERSPACE. To me this seems to be something that should have been available all along.

Yes.. The macro works.

From supercruise I target a system, throttle up to 65%, when I get the message to increase throttle to engage. I press the macro button which gives a .5 sec 75% setting which causes the "engage", then .1 sec 25% setting followed by .1 sec -10% and a second .1 sec -10% to result in a fwd speed setting of 5% when I exit. Been using it for many, many moons now and it has never failed.

I created it because two of the now 6 times I have been interdicted and drug into normal space were times when I had exited at ZERO speed, as so many people say you should do to keep from doing a header into a star. So, I never exit at ZERO. I exit at 5%. Plenty slow enough to pitch and roll to avoid the header but now I cannot be immediately interdicted and at that speed, I can still beat the interdiction without hitting the star. When I am lucky, the punk crashes into the star trying to drag me off the escape vector and I never see it again.

Upon exit from Hyperspace I get the star under me and if it is scoopable, I also have a Voice Attack macro to RIG SHIP FOR REFUELING that sets speed to +25%, sets sensors to closest range, and when the scoop activates, I add usually another 20% speed to refuel.

Is there any patch that returns me almost 3.5 millions that the system did not paid me after completing the missions with success? :S

There seems to be evidence that it's the size of the turret vs. the ship that's the problem. That said, who wants to put size 2 turrets in their size 3 hardpoints (not me). Hopefully 3.03 drops SOON and fixes this and other serious bugs.

Which was the reason I stated it was fixed in the latest patch.
I had medium turrets installed to the large hardpoints of the Conda to check if they fixed the aiming issue and they worked.
Never would have thought this would not apply to large turrets, pretty weird.

Cool, spotted a couple of other bugs too. The first I’ve see In my conda and beluga: Selector on navigation panel disappears after using SRV. Need to relog to reset. The second in my Conda, module repair does not change until screen is reselected.

AH-HA So that is what is up with my CobraIII module repair - thought I was driving it wrong ..
It is now less than intuitive... (broken or badly damaged).

Oh. I rather enjoyed the "Too loud" Chieftain sounds. Made the ship feel really powerful and dominated by it's engines.

strange happenings with the ,binds file siunce 3.0.2

I had no problem with 3.0.2 when it first came up.
Then yesterday AM signed on for a quick hop and the X55 joystick was - "different" - e.g, all the buttons had been re-assigned - GULP.
Found I now had a new 3 binds file - seem verymuch like the 2 biinds fiel (and its backups) BUT deficiently not like the way the ship (didn't) handle.
As I was short of time I shrugged, left the ship hanging in space and went about my business.
Came back in the PM and had a good look - yes binds 3 was same as binds 2 plus some other stuff, but NOT like what the ship was a-doing-of, it seems it had some sort of defalult binds or some generic response to a nonexistent binds file.
So I resigned myself changing it all to the way I had it before (very different to what was happening now).
Changed the 1st 2 buttons - started flight - yes they worked now - back to options,
Changed the next 2 buttons - started flight - yes thay worked now, back to options,
Tried to change next button but it was suddenly correct -HUH-
Back to Flight and all is just as I had if before - Googled for lunatic assylums but they were all shut down years ago.....
:S:S:S:S:S because .2.0 and .3.0 binds file still looked as they did before when it did not work [woah]:S:rolleyes:

Have there been any undocumented changes to space dust? It just looks "different", both in normal space and SC...can't really say yet if for the better or worse, but it'll surely take a bit to get used to it.

Or is it a thing only happening on my part? :S

I have not noticed any change to space dust.

I do wish, though, that we had the option to turn space dust off.

Don't even get me started on keybinds. The fact that a "professional" game studio can procedurally generate an entire galaxy but can't manage to code an updater that doesn't screw your keybinds file with every update hurts my brain. And the absoulte mess of the keybinds config menu... Why is there not an option to set 6 DoF controls once and have them apply to ship, SRV, and free camera? I get that some might have a racing wheel they want to use for SRV, but I'm guessing the vast majority of players use the same controls for all three, so by default Ship, SRV, and camera should all be the same with the option to customize differently from there. Like seriously, this is extremely obvious basic stuff but they just cannot seem to get it right after years of problems and complaints.

Contigo Chico (1959 Cuban Joke - hard to translate ...) simply, I agree.
Player Ashnak (two posts up) gave 3 links that were useful to me.
It does seem that some clown or a programmer got all twee and decided to make an automatic sorter outer ovver of systems, looking at what hardwear could be seen
and giving you a simple default - but did not have the skill to do it properly - hence the oooooeeerrrNNAASSTTYY we have now. I do hope is iether redundant or being re-skilled .... Mike

So let me ask you... is it an intentional change that you aren't able to see if skimmers are wanted or not anymore? Or is that a bug that has yet to be foxed?

Along with this, was it intentional that salvage on a surface inside exclusion zones will always show up as LEGAL unless it is prohibited in the current system??

As a result of this and the post it quoted, I went back and looked at my whole Joystick/keypad bindings and I am real glad I had not left that planet surface I was on when the patch came out.

I had already discovered that all my SRV and free camera controls were bolixed, but when I looked at the joystick/Ship controls they had be reset to "generic" and even switching to what EDH had for my last custom didn't have the latest setting I had made.
