Crime
  • The Kill Warrant Scanner grants a license to kill for any faction bounty linked to the current jurisdiction’s superpower

I take it this means that most Anarchy systems (provided there are no superpower-aligned anarchy factions) will be places where people can effectively hide their criminal status, even when KWS'd?

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your feedback about the outfitting lock. We understand your frustrations, and we're currently looking in to what are options are available in order for us to rectify this.

Thanks again, we'll share more information as soon we've got it.

Simple, go back to how it just was yesterday . It cost literally nothing to clean a hot module. A few peanuts worth of credits. I don't understand the reasoning or logic behind this.

Thing is, it may be hard to trigger it. Also, it is encountered only in PGs and Open.
I played for some time in Mobius, and haven't encountered it yet. It is probable that it has been fixed (Or some other bug that indirectly caused it was fixed).

I was playing last night and it was doing it in mobius. I'm about to log on and I'll post it still happens. I found the easiest fix for it is just exit to the main menu and log back in. Fixes it real quick.

I cannot put this any more politely...

Do you guys play your own game?

Locking off changing modules in your HOT ship, no matter where you are? WHAT???????

You guys put Anarchy systems in a game, use them.

ED is already unnecessarily grindy if you want to build a top spec engineered ship.

Now I have to have a clean ship and a number of naughty ships, in different configurations. If I want to be a criminal?

How is that even remotely a good thing or heavens forbid, bordering on fun?

It is already a CHORE to take an FDL or Vette from one CG to another with our epic 20ly jump ranges. Seeing as we cannot ship hot ones over.
Now when I get there, I have to keep my fuel scoop?. So now I have to keep my HRP's for a meta build, when I want to pirate? What if my paper, rock, scissors configuration is not suitable for fighting the other ships in that CG and i might want to move from Frags to gimbled MC's to continue being a bad guy?

This is a stupid move that is just going to make the game more frustrating for anyone not wanting to be a good guy.

The consequences idea is fine but there should be options. We should have criminal hide outs.
The obvious Anarachy systems to operate from or really what is the point in having an Anarchy? You still havent given us reasons to go to them. This move even less so.

This move STILL wont reduce player ganking. FDL's will just have a fuel scoop onboard, while they gank noobs in baddly built ships.
Then highwake awake from any white knights or boost away from any ATR that can masslock them and low wake, way before they get sent to rebuy.

Yeah, FD. Your job is to Make Anarchy Great Again

This all-inclusive outfitting lockout is the opposite of MAGA.

Well, now slightly salty. No thanks to everyone who exploited the base bombing with dumbfires, FD's fix now makes my mine bomber largely useless that i'd been using for about a year to do base missions.

Yeah, ill partially blame FD for such fixes, was never happy with how they changed skimmers to be made of impossiblium when ships rammed them to stop a previous exploit, but i reserve plenty of salt for the exploiters as well.

What was that? Exploiters exploiting don't affect anyone else?

Yeah, sorry, you can shove that up your nether regions.
this actually resulted in 2-3 60Mill rebuys when i came in for landings too fast and landed on skimmers in my cutter. ... why can't I have a skimmer cannon on my ship that shoots skimmers at other ships... it still makes no sense and drives me batty.

In my opinion that ship and module is now illegal. So no honest outfitter (edit: even in anarchy they can be honest) wants to be involved in someone elses crimes. But my idea would be that there should be some special outfitters that allow the removal or exchange of some modules for an appropriatle high price (what are your billions good for?)

That price should depend on the height of your bounty and or notority. The higher the bounty/notority, the higher the price.

Agreed. I very much like the C&P changes so far, I'd be quite happy with jurisdiction wide outfitting lockout, I could live with a wider lock out for hot ships but including anarchies in that is just silly and pretty much disables any kind of criminal/outlaw game path

Yeah, like some kind of self-styled 'Pirate King' maybe? If only there was someone that fit the bill...

Put C&P back to the player and not the ship - it's not like you go out get caught speeding in 1 car get points/fine - go home, swap the car out and hey presto, clean license now is it?

Ok we can see a good list of bug fixes most of them just minor bugs and the list only includes about 30% of the bugs does that mean the DEV's are working on a very large bug fix list before the next major update in 2018 or we have to wait for the next update before they try and fix the other 70% of the major bugs.

As always I know fixing bugs takes longer that writing the original code and is more time consuming that's why their are so many bugs now, but its a bit of a surprize that most major bugs are not even list in the bugs fix list.

As always I do wish all the DEV's and the Q.A team and volunteers and those that know how to do their jobs good luck and hope they all have a very nice day, but I'm sure most people are now getting disappointed with the lack of major bug fixes.

Hi newbee here.

I can see that. :)

Btw: Not entirely impressed that I am locked out from the game.

Regards,

Mads

New to online gaming as well I see. ;) ED updates do tend to require server downtime during the process. This one was insignificant compared to the 8-10 hours of server downtime you will normally see during a major chapter update.

  • All economy types are now listed in cases where a station has several

Hi Will,

Thanks for the notes - could you provide an example of the above - showing how this information is presented in the journal file - I assume in the "Docked" record?

Many thanks!

What’s an honest outfitter (most likely a robot) doing in an anarchy system?

As an interim fix, we are allowing Interstellar Factors to clear Power Bounties, while we investigate the issues.

Nope, doesn't work, just tried, so even the patch notes are bugged.

Attacking Wanted ships (player or NPC) is now legal even if the player does not know they are Wanted
This should "fix" the issue with SLFs, but what about when that miner's stupid SLF flies into our line of fire? Still insta-bounty, notoriety +1? I didn't see any mention of fixing this problem.
