Funny how the VR patch has just killed all the VR players and no mention from FDev on how, if any, ways to remedy it.

Looks like all VR players are now out of the game until Monday / Tuesday.

They should have released this patch WHEN the Oculus runtime was publically available !!!

reference comunnity goals extended, Vennik Herald is reporting it complete and there is no list for the top contributors at Nixon Enterprise, the transaction tab is showing the comuunity goal as extended though and the price is still 6002cr

As a VR player, I'm ok with this. They need to make the Monday launch, and this gives them some time to get the bugs out.

And if the current build doesn't work with SteamVR (which I think is likely) then I'll just have to play via a monitor for a day or two. I can cope.

Haha, yep.. I'm redownloading Asseto/Euro truck and DCS. Looks like no ED till Monday, no way am I playing on a normal screen

Yeah I am happy they are getting it done. I just HOPE that the release on Monday from Oculus (1.3) works with the DK2 and ED otherwise I have 2 months to wait for my CV1
 
Thx grnbrg. Tried this some time ago but i wasn´t able to get it to work for whatever reason. Thanks anyway, i will give it a fresh try.
Checked it again and now it magically works. Have some light flickering on the right Eye but all in all it works for the first time. Take some Rep!

Now on my update : It works marvellously on the rig in the signature on Ultra preset (shadows too) and MSAA AND SS1.5
It's amazing ..

P.S the GPU is clocked by 100/300/40mV

I'd post a picture of me playing but i suppose i'd get more ppl angry at me :)

Its just because of the Easter weekend. Most companies will have Friday to Monday off work If it hadn't been Easter then you can bet money they probably would have rolled it out early Monday.

It is amusing though that the OP was all about great VR updates and the possibly most important note for all people already using VR with DK2's was completely left out!

I mean if you have got bad news, its obviously best to just pretend its not there.

I'm not quite following you on this. How are we supposed to iron out the bugs if none of the Rift users can use their Rift until Monday?
They would have still made the Monday launch rolling out the update on Monday.

Frame rates around stations/asteroid rings/planetary surface/surface ports?

Not at all mate, it's good news that the CV1 is running so well. I'm still going for the Pascal cards, are you running the 980TI? I may just stick with mine until the full range of Pascal's are out.

Monday's not too far away, I don't play ED on the weekends anyway, I had planned on a long session today. It's a shame they broke DK2 support.
 
And some funky Lost Winds Bobbleheads (for ED ships) have appeared in the store ..

:S Strange choice to create three bobbleheads of random characters from another game ahead of the PP characters from this one, for example. Not to mention there are still ships which don't have any purchasable paints at all, which I would have thought would also be a higher priority.

Just an observation.
