Updated Permit List

I found SPR systems out at Veil Nebula, Crescent nebula and NGC 6820.
They are all in the direction of Cygnus and Vulpecula.

When I approached Crescent Nebula, I counted about 20 systems locked off. The next time I logged in, they weren't showing as locked off, but jumping into one of those systems failed every single time with a crash to menu.

Pi Mensae - Alpha Chamaelontis*
Terra Mater - Hecate*

Also Polaris, Bellica and LFT 509 shouldn't be in the INDEPENDENT SYSTEMS

Fixed. Apparently LFT 509 says its federation, but it has no population. Moved to oddities section as a result.

Also, thanks for your contributions so far everyone!

Is Virachocha and Alioth where to get these permits? Or just adding new permits to the list (which are now added)? The "found near" part confuses me since you can just put it in the search. :)

I wrote 'found near' mainly because there are at least two 'Kamba' systems. The one that requires a permit, and if I recall there's also an Empire system by the same name, so it was more for clarification than anything.

I took screenies of them in the system list when I first found them while scanning systems to turn in for the last community goal, but didn't stop to see which systems around them were the ones with faction missions to unlock them. At some point I'll go back to find them, and see if there's anything interesting in those systems once unlocked. :D

You can do missions for the Chapter of Isinor in Anotchadiae and Reshas, they award the permit for Isinor.

Currently it seems kinda pointless seeing as the system is empty, however it's one of three permit systems mentioned as receiving content in the 1.2 patch notes:

Adding valuable salvage convoys to three permitted systems: LFT 509, Isinor, Witch's Reach

Thanks for this find! +Rep to everyone who contributed so far.

Any idea how to get LFT 509 and Witches Reach? Both seem to lack a population and a station. And what exactly are "valuable salvage convoys"?

Van Maanen's Star - (Tau Ceti, Epsilon Eridani )

YZ Ceti is also offering the permit mission for this system, though it hasn't yet offered up any actual reputation progression missions.

Edit: Missions do appear at Clement Orbital in YZ Ceti for this faction. I would assume they also appear at Fuglesang Port as well.

I don't have the answer to either of those questions I'm afraid, although I am friendly with Chapter of Isinor and working towards allied for the permit so hopefully I'll be able to go looking for the "valuable salvage convoys" shortly after 1.2 hits.

Updated. Thanks for this.

Storage convoys seem to be a Type-9 and 2 'Conda.
Not sure what they carry since I didn't have a cargo scanner.

EDIT:
Came back with a cargo scanner, the T9 is always hauling 8 antiquities and a few resonating separators.
Not sure I wanna risk it against 2 'Conda just to see how much those things are worth.

Also I just read this in the patch notes, anyone knows what they mean by benefits?
Server Changes:
- Added some benefits to stations in systems that need a permit to travel

Isinor also has a 'Convoy Beacon', as above. Federal Navy, Gold Natural Ltd. Who now have 54% of the system making it Federation, Chapter of Isinor is 3%. 2 Condas, T9. Mine had 2 Antiquities. 3RS. They eventually FS out, high energy wake.

went to Facece yesterday, visited every station except one (Peters base, iirc?), did not see anything out of the ordinary, no rares, nothing special

So I decided to go ahead and update the list of permits known so far in the game. There is quite a bit of out of date, incomplete or outright wrong information from various sources, so I decided to go out and compile the best info I've been able to find so far. I've also found precious little information about how to actually get some of these permits (or if it's even possible at all). So if you know something, share it and I will update it. Please contribute additional permit locations, and the best places to obtain them, as well as any other relevant information (such as why you'd want to get the permit, or the ideal locations are, if any).

I have thus grouped these permits under 7 groups: Federation, Empire, Alliance, Independent, Uninhabited, Oddities, and general areas. In parenthesis are where you can pick up missions for the relevant faction (with a star if assessed to be the best location to do missions or turn in data to ally and get the permit).

Again, this is very much a work in progress, but hopefully your contributions will make this a better thread than ones that have been made so far on the topic.

That should fill in some of your gaps :)

Yea, you would think the system would be unique given how it is a military economy. If you are going to lock access, at least have a special goodie or ship module you can equip.

May I ask whats the benefit of getting a system permit for lets say Sirius - (Avik*, Procyon, Luyten's Star)? Is it even worth the effort?
Yeah, never understood the point. Just place holders with no gameplay yet?

Access to a trade good doesn't seem like it's worth the effort.

That's why I made this thread. If someone finds out if there is any real benefit, it NEEDS to be posted here so I can update the OP.

So for Sirus, for example, there is no real exclusive game content (yet) so you are better off skipping it unless you are bored. But for Founder's World, you get tons of content.

If you don't see a benefit in the OP, it's because there's nothing significant to report. But if you find out something, then make a posting, +REP me and it will be added promptly. :)
