Updated Permit List

Currently reputation-grinding with the Crom Silver Boys faction. Got some updates about their presence.

Present in system and in control of one or more stations/outposts in space:
  • 69 G. Carinae
  • Laifangyi

Present in system but in control of surface ports/colonies only:
  • Bunuras
  • Un Narraya (note the double "r" in the name - "Un Naraya" is incorrect)

Present in system but not in control anywhere:
  • Bembarriosk
  • Herthe
  • LFT 568
  • Trukampasuk

Not present in system any more:
  • Alpha Chamaelontis
The Crom Silver Boys have now lost control of Zalyotin Hub in Laifangyi. They're still present in the system, but no longer have control of any of the stations or the single outpost in Laifangyi.

It is the 15 LY radius factor. [...]
Incidentally, this isn't the only faction where the 15 LY effect on permits is seen. I believe Peregrina also has expansions beyond the 15 LY radius, and you can't get the permit from any of those either.

Phew, so not another wrinkle in the "where do I get my permit" logic tree. Thanks.

Background: I have been trying and failing for the 4 Sextantis permit. I found two of the 4 Sextantis factions at the planetary base Akin Relay in HIP 48768 (8.72 LY away from 4 Sextantis): 4 Sextantis Inc (controlling faction) and Uniting 4 Sextantis. They are pretty much the bottom of the pile, but I managed to get them into a state where they started offering missions again by selective bounty hunting. However, even massive amounts of open/5 groups/solo mode switching did not result in a permit mission showing.

According to sysmap, the other factions in 4 Sextantis are "4 Sextantis Jet Dragons", "HIP 48165 Industries", and "Green Party of HIP 48025". The later two are around in various systems in the area, but are not offering the permit mission. I have not seen "4 Sextantis Jet Dragons" in any of the systems within 15 LY of 4 Sextantis.

So at the moment, the permit for 4 Sextantis looks to be impossible to get. I am not sure if the permit is simply not in the game, handed out by the "4 Sextantis Jet Dragons", or if this is a side effect of the currently bugged "rank" (navy promoting/engineer invite/permit) missions. I will give it another go when 2.3 goes live because this version fixes the rank missions and improves the player journal to list all factions in any system you jump into. My plan is to pull a list of all populated systems within 20 LY (normal expansion range) of 4 Sextantis, pump that through Alot's TSA, do a quick round, and see if I get more hits for the 4 Sextantis factions. If that does not work, I will re-try with 30 LY (extended expansion range).

Has anyone else notice black market s becoming unavailable?

No apparent reasons like state changes, faction change or PP effects.

Hi Ben, I've heard there is a player group UA bombing BM's on the edge of Archon space for RP/PP reasons. I work the fringe of Pegasi and Col 285 sector and it is quite difficult to find a BM in boom which is open and offering good prices on LTD's. Had to travel about 50 Lyrs from my point of origin the other night.

Not sure who, Paladin or knights or something.

Might be this ? :-
Patronage, Dictatorship and Theocracy governments will disable the black-market on a station after a take over.
It also seems that in the case of a player faction it doesn't display disabled it just removes the text.

Thanks to you both.

The systems havent become dictatorship etc so I think it might be the UA bombing thing.

It doesn't have to be the system controlling faction, just the faction that owns the station which has the disabled BM.
It also seems to take time (as in 2-3 weeks I have noticed) for the BM to open or close after a take over.

Crom Silver Boys is in retreat, so one of their permit ranking systems is about to disappear. They may also be about to lose their home system.

Update. Retreat in Bembarriosk.

Pending War in Crom

Also pending Lockdown - surprise surprise. and Famine, and Boom and Bust

Nastrond is currently controlled by Dragons of Nastrond. They won't hand out permits to the system though. :(

Very few of the permit systems are still controlled by the factions that issue the permits.

Though I can safely say that Crom is still controlled by the Crom Silver Boys. The war should still be going (day 4) but the Silver Boys were 55% ahead last night.

Hmmm, ok.

Feels weird though, that the controlling faction can't give permit to enter their own system... [blah]

Yeah, I know. Van Maanen's Star requires a permit from the Sublime Order of Van Maanen's Star but who controls the system? Hutton Orbital Truckers.

I think it says something about those people who work to become allied with a faction, just so they can betray them.

My character would happily kill someone for money, slaughter traders for spare parts, and smuggle drugs, weapons and slaves, but he is loyal to his allies.

Same. You want slaves smuggled? No problem. You want me to run narcotics into Sol? No problem. Take out ships from The Sublime Order of Van Maanen's Star? Not a chance. No one but a galactic superpower has enough money to pay me to do that. And it would most likely bankrupt them.

The Truckers are also present in Sirius, though this was firmly in control by Sirius Corp last week.

If it wasn't off topic for this thread, I might suggest that the Hutton Truckers are a menace that needs to be purged from the galaxy.

You are welcome to create a player group dedicated to pushing the Sirius faction and declaring them an arch enemy. They...Siriusly....need your help! *shows himself out the door, hurriedly activating his anti rotten food shield*

My only problem with the Hutton Truckers is they took over Van Maanen's Star. That was given to the Order by Federation decree. I get my Python fitted out like a proper warship, I'm going to go hunting Hutton Trucker ships in the Van Maanen's Star system.
