VA - K.I.C.S. Setup Help | Keybindings

Hello Commanders,

So I recently wanted to give VA (VoiceAttack) and try with the KICS voice pack. Installation was successful and I was able to import the voice profile. Now, I might be wrong, but it is my understanding that most of the commands should be set up already? Commands such as "prepare for take-off" or " balance power" are recognized by voice but do not execute while I'm running the game, and that goes for all of the commands.

I tried a different voice pack, Anubis, and the actions were keybinded but they wouldn't execute in the game.

I'd also like to note that my Elite Dangerous installation path is on my D: drive and my VA is on my C: drive (this was the default install location). Am I supposed to have them both in the same drive? What am I missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you go through the Microsoft Voice Recognition script at least 10 times?

I'm not kidding.
VA/HCS did not become pseudo reliable for me until I went through this a dozen or so times.

I did it only once. I wouldn’t mind doing it 10 times but I don’t see how that would help set the keybinds/execute in game. I was getting my voice commands recognized since the AI were responding back to me.

I find sometimes I used to get no action and no indication of not understanding...turns out it was my mike.

Can I assume also, that you are not getting an error message on startup complaining about your bindings (in Voice Attack, that is).

default controls have changed a bit since the beyond update so the voice pack may need updating
to test however
open note pad instead of game
in voice attack click new command
in prompt when I say input dog
click command press key d on keyboard and set command to target window
click done
now when you open notepad get the cursor up as if about to type and say dog it should type a letter d
hope that makes sense

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the feedback so far. It turns out that the commands ARE being executed now. My du** as* was trying to execute commands while still docked so some of those commands obviously don't work while docked. I still haven't tried all of them yet but at least I know VA and KICS are working "properly".
