[Video] Griefing : is there a problem?!

If the DW2 leadership isn't interested in talking, and the reasons for the attack are never made public, that's fine. We'll just keep killing them by the thousands: that is how we will prevent the expedition from causing its horrendously adverse effects on the galaxy and its inhabitants. Peace talks or extermination of the threat: either solution is fine with me. And the DW2 leadership has wilfully chosen extermination.

The extermination option is fine by me, m'lord.

i see no problem with griefing. because true griefing can be mitigated by the elegant method of blocking.

i do see a problem, rather a resistance, with some pilots who refuse to build a survivable ship, understand the mechanics on combat and interacting with other players in an open environment.

combat is, in elite: dangerous, a first principle. that doesn't mean everyone should spend all their time fighting. it does mean that in order to enjoy what you want you need to understand combat - both offense and defense. i mean, it's a dangerous place out there in open.

it is, in my opinion, infinitely more gratifying to reach a state of peaceful play knowing i am doing so in the midst of a dangerous open world because i know how to defend my ship against unwanted attack and be on my way.

if you lose your ship to an encounter because it was too slow, had weak or no shields and a paper thin hull and those aren't corrected by the time you next undock because of a refusal to give up that extra few tons of cargo space or ly's of jump range...well, you're just asking for more rebuys.

Sorry, you are wrong, the only places you may get the chance to get blown up are the waypoints in DWE2 and as you may notice, that's predictable, hence, one can prepare for it without modifying your build to deal with some annoying mosquitoes.

I'm pretty sure I have been more time in the black than you, in any case, if you have seen anything that disproves me (which would be exceptionally rare considering the time I have explored and the places I have visited) then post it here, regarding the player part, I don't need to know who I may run into because you don't run into anybody* in the first place.

*Except for the scenario I already mentioned and a planned meeting, both are predictable.

But yeah, keep spreading the tales of the bogeyman in the dark, I'm soooo scared :/

I killed a dude about an hour ago, scanned his system and just handed the data in... it now has my name on it, also time in the black doesn't mean much at all, fact of the matter is there IS stuff out there waiting and when it finds you or you find it you will wish you where better protected, there are far greater threats out in the black than me or any other PVPer...

think of us as a drive by ship check service... pass our check and you are good to go.

There were two changes from the original 3.0 release to make it easier for people with short-range ships to manage their bounties (I think both of these were changed in 3.1):
* Refuel allowed with anonymous access.
* Voluntary hand-in for transportation allowed with no notoriety.

I strongly suspect that both of these were more to ease the complaints of PvE bounty hunters who had picked up assault bounties, though, since anyone *expecting* to obtain a bounty can just plan ahead a bit and not downsize their FSD in the first place.

Well none of those points apply to a PVP ganker type as we always have notoriety and whats the point of refueling if you have a 2Ton tank?

i will give you the benefit of the doubt...maybe, or at lest show up what you are doing :p as such things spoil threads (i tried to leave it where it was, but you wanted to keep digging).

As the posted reply to that question links to a thread that explain how griefers (not PvPers) are lashing out against a type of person they don't like, but cant get to (cus of private group) most of the time, they gank who they can, normally at event and as crew, also explained in the linked topic. This is who i think is lashing out.

Now, to be clear, you asked ''Who do you think is "lashing out"?'' and i told you via the link (in a thread you took part in,so you are well aware i have answered this question in dept)... it dosen't matter if you agree with what i posted in that other thread, as you asked ''Who do you think is "lashing out"?''. So that was a very clear answer to the question you asked...

and then you when down a strange path of accusing me of avoidance. This is why i'm confused to why you are acting like this.. and why would i want to talk with you if you get an answer then claim i did not give one... that Sparta.. not wait this is madness.

i've been more that fair now, even explain the answer for you, explain how i have answered your question. A question you asked that, if you real did read the other thread before posting in it, would know my answer. So to be asking and be to post it again here, well that is trolling.

almost seems as if, cus you saw me backing off , and not wanting to get into pointless post, that you where making progress, in what ever you here doing. Nope, i just wanted to avoid this, but now it worth my time , as i can point out what some posters here love to do, just cause mischief, take control of the thread and hopefully close it down as it turns into fights and personal insults.

Thank you for elaborating, but that is nonsense.

Here is a question to all my PvE friends:

I pulled a Deadly Python in shinrarta 2 nights ago and blew him up. He shot back and had crimes on. I was in a Grade 2 engineered Sidewinder with 2 enforcers and 550 hull.

Was i the griefer there?

Python had a full complement of weapons, shields and armor, and the cops showed up very quickly (High Security)

No, as I always say, there has only ever been one true griefer in this game, he's no longer around. As long as you use no exploits, and don't enter PvE groups, you do what you want.

So no sources? Only baseless conjectures then...
