Vote here for keyboard control (Yep or Nope)

Not sure what you mean by 'attached keypad', I have the clip on 'message pad' for the DS4 but you can only use that wherever text input is required. It can't be used to map control bindings to.

I got one of these types of clip-on chatpads: clicky but it's even not very good for inputting text, as it's missing / annoying to enter some things like systems iirc.

At one point I thought it would be great to use it for actual game commands though: as it's right by your thumbs and could quick access to things not normally bound, like quick heat sink deployment. Now I don't really miss the keyboard, as even on PC I use a HOTAS or DS4, but I still would support the option to have keyboard control available.

It may also help smooth concerns if cross-play ever happens.
Again I think the fact PC already has KB+M vs HOTAS vs controller players, console users would be at little more a disadvantage than a PC player using a controller.

I meant this...PS4 Chat Boost.

I also use the Gear Head KB3800 on the PS4. Same deal texting only with either but can use a lot more fingers with the separate keyboard.

Also the Turtle Beach P4C headset and a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS 4 (not shown). Too bad the HOTAS doesn't have a headset connection.

yes for others, but I wouldn't use it myself. every game I have ever played on pc with keyboard and mouse never feels as smooth as when I have used controller with the same game, but I do understand it has it's uses for extra command mapping

For this the Chatpad accessory which attaches to the controller allows for controller gameplay and keyboard mapping, hopefully they add support soon

Yep there nothing but a generic keyboard As soon as they enable one keyboard for key mapping all PS4 supported keyboards bluetooth or USB will get it..
The issue with Bluetooth keyboards is when they enter power save for battery after inactivity and you have to wait for reactivation there can be a big delay but you will be used to that when typing on them...

Yes because I want to be able to make my own control panel that uses keyboard outputs.
Having a big red button for the frameshift drive would be way too awesome

yes please, the game has grown well past the confines of a controller, each expansion adds more and more complexity to an already crammed and disorienting control scheme,

Why would you use console if you want to use keyboard :S

I use a console because I refuse to have any Microsoft products in my home. My desktop and laptops all run Linux. This is the only game I can't play but wish I could play on my Linux box. If they ever ported it, don't think I could start over. Have too much invested in my PS4 account.

I'm gonna say no.

As far as consoles go, you don't have to buy extra peripherals. And if you do, for a game like this, it should be a HOTAS.

You don't play flight sims with a M&Kb. I fail to see them as worthwhile in this game.

Before someone starts thowing gibberish like "Precision" and "Ease of use" around. A good pilot with a HOTAS, is easily as good as a pilot on a M&Kb.

Moreover, you get a very much wider range of avalible movements at your disposal.

For typing, yeah sure, for gameplay? Nty.
