Voyager 1 & 2 Unidentified Signals

I visited both Voyager 1 and 2... just like I sometimes have to scan iceballs orbiting distant brown dwarfs when I'm exploring.. I just couldn't leave one of them unvisited. :)

I visited before the debug cam arrived but it was well worth the (excruciatingly long) supercruise journey. I grabbed a cup of tea, sat in a loose orbit with flight assist off (felt more homely) and listened to the greetings record play over the radio. Good times, definitely a reason for all humans to visit Sol at least once in their life.

Thanks, I've been in need of an adventure!

And Tier 1 unlocked of the hunt the assassin sorted so off to SOL!

But which way...

More than likely already been done, but I found the Voyager 2 Probe. I though it was pretty cool, can remember when this thing went up in the late 70's. Off to find Voyager 1 now....

Voyager 2 was 2,069,858 Ls from Earth

Found Voyager 1 and hour later, it was 2,317,450 Ls from Earth

Both were broadcasting messages in multiple languages

"To all our friends in outer space. May you have a wonderful time exploring it."

and

"I wish to send greetings and friendly wishes to all who encounter this message."

I found Voyager 2 by accident, I came across a unmarked signal 2,069,858 Ls on my way out from Earth / M Gorbachev. Once I found Voyager 2 I had to find Voyager 1, after supercruising around for 20 minutes I found another unmarked signal, then found Voyager 1. Both are in the SOL system

I can go to bed now.....

Thought I'd grab this before I moved on.

Strangely the probe hadn't moved on since I saved the game last night, I thought it would be thousands of miles away in 12 hours.

Rest assured, one day it will be possible to book an excursion to go off and see Voyager. There will probably be a Voyager visitor centre drifting alongside it too.

Voyager 1

I finally got access to SOL. :D I seen a marker 2.3m ls away and decided to see what it was. I found Voyager 1! That was a pretty cool discovery. I'm still fairly new to this game, but it's awesome.

When I was about to embark on what I considered my first proper exploration trip, I went to see voyager planning to head out from it. I gave it a lil kiss/bump for luck........had to turn back and land at station and repair the 27% hull damage Id taken from it. She's a tough old bird!
