Wealth statistics

Unfortunately the forum isn't a very representative sample.

Im sitting only slightly higher than you, by about 250m.

But I suspect a lot of us forum dwellers are the kinds of informed nerds to know how to make coin.
Agreed, I'm sitting on 20m credits right now - read it, twwe-nnnn-ttyy ...mwhahahahaha!

How many fleet carriers can I get for this?

Okay, can I purchase a cat A insurance write-off from somewhere then?

Eh, they're indestructible?!...this game is total Bull-Sunni!

I got about tree fiddy.
Yup, tree fiddy BIL.

Only 100M in the bank, I like buying ships way too much. But if I need a few hundred million I know how to get it in a day or two.

Mats, though... I know how to get them too, in abundance, but it's so Grindaceous... Grindtastic... Grindiferous... Ooh, grind jokes

What do you call a night of grinding for mats? The Late Grindaceous Period!

What do you call that mountainous place where you go to collect G5 raws? The Grind Canyon!

what do you call it when you want to build a new ship and you’re 62 G5 mats short?

A night of playing something other than Elite.

Just sold off a huge pile of parts, and some storage ships. I had a tremendous (to me) amount locked up in them. Feeling much happier with liquid cash. The alt account is next.

Oh geez, I don't even think that'd cover my rebuy right now.

Not sure if I like everyone bragging about how many credits they have.
YOU'RE ALL JUST MAKING THE PRICE OF FLEET CARRIERS SKYROCKET
Shh!
Heh, yeah, this would be a bad idea under most market circumstances where the money actually means something and is actual profit being made by the manufacturer of the vehicles, not imaginary money within the world of a videogame, where the actual real world profit is made by getting people to spend real money on cosmetic upgrades for them... :p

Thankfully, Frontier do have access to all the aggregate data we are all bemoaning the lack of. So that's what's going to be contributing to their pricing decisions on carriers, not how many credits the people who like to talk about how many credits they have possess.

+ around 770mill in cash.

I always wonder what people spend their credits on when I see they have huge amounts of assets.

I mean, I've got, apparently, about Cr12bn in assets.
Given that I've got Cr5.5bn in credits, I guess that means I've got around Cr6.5bn in ships & modules.

I've got two Corvettes worth a billion each, two Cutters worth around Cr700m each and four Annies worth around Cr500m each so those seven ships, alone, add up to Cr5.4bn.
Thing is, altogether I've got 45 ships, ranging from Sideys and Vipers to A Beluga and a pair of T10s and, excluding the above-mentioned 7 ships, their total value is, apparently, "only" around Cr1.1bn.

TBH, I struggle to accept this all works out.

I mean, without going into too much detail, I've got 4 Pythons, 4 Kraits, an FdL and a Mamba which all cost roughly Cr100m (probably closer to Cr120m) to outfit.
So, that's a billion credits, right there.
Then I've got my two mining T10s which cost around Cr150m each (IIRC).

Those 19 ships, combined, create a total of at least Cr6.7bn.
Which leaves 26 ships that cost, apparently, nothing.

Even if we assume that the Assets are valued at their selling-price (which is 10% less than their cost) it doesn't seem like the game, or INARA, is adding this stuff up properly - especially if we also factor in all the stored modules and weapons I have, including things like a couple of 7A/8A prismatic shields and big fuel-scoops.

But I digress.

My point was really just that I'm not sure how people manage to accumulate massive amounts of assets, or what they do with them.

I mean, I've got 45 ships (divided into 2 fleets of 15 ships in the bubble and Colonia), another ten "independant" ships which I've built for various reasons and then the balance are ships I don't use and are in storage.
I can explain (partially) having a large number of ships cos a bunch of them are duplicates in the bubble and Colonia but, even so, I'd have to admit that a significant number of them are "vanity projects" which I don't really fly very often.

So, in a nutshell, I've got around Cr7bn of ships and that's enough to have at least one of almost every ship in the game and have two comprehensive fleets of ships in the bubble and Colonia.
I dunno how anybody could amass, say, Cr20bn in Assets, or what they do with them (if anything).

Not saying people shouldn't have huge, expensive, heaps of ships but I'd be interested to hear what people do with them or how often they fly them.

Since the addition of the c1 optional in one of the last patches I tend to put lightweight reactive on most ships, bundled with a thermal res 1D HRP.
Doubles the cost of a FdL to 200 million for example.
