Well now I'm really, REALLY ticked off.

After spending months carefully avoiding doing ANYTHING to get a fine, I'm out driving around a moon and shoot a rock for the minerals and BAM, 100cr fine for being in a no fire zone (for which there is no indicator).

13 million credits and months of exploring, and now I have to delete and restart.

There needs to be a damn indicator when you're in a location that will incur fines, and I don't just mean a little warning in the chat window. There needs to be something on the HUD.

There are all sorts playing ED...

To clarify a little thing... I never took the fuel scoop off my ship. It was removed without notice or warning to make room for the planetary landing suite. The result is I'm out the cost of the scoop.

They really needed (and STILL need) to make the landing suite standard equipment that doesn't take up one of your equipment slots.

ERR no...

I mean learn to land that thing... What fun would there be if people would not require to be good at doing anything?

Seriously I don't get people stressing out with landing, I have NEVER crashed any ship while landing. It's only possible by doing stupid things like boosting in and out of dock.

It doesn't take a equipment slot, it's additional. You can't fit anything in it apart from the PAS.

Yeah, that guy must be mistaken.
uldn't be the first time. If so, I've no idea where my fuel scoop went, because I didn't remove it.
Could be, wo

(EDIT: For the webmaster... there seems to be a bug in the forums. When writing a quick reply, if I backspace (to correct an error), it will pop new typing up to the line above, you see in my current post. You may need to look into it.)

I don't want to worry you, but in the true spirit of Elite, a grammatical mistake like the above, should really be followed by a clear save!

As the previous poster said, the module for landings (not the SRV vehicle hangar) is a new one on the very bottom. Not sure what happened to your scoop though.

Think about the real life equivalent. You parked your car in a no parking zone, because it wasn't marked as such. Upon returning you see the scrap of paper telling you that you've been fined. Having made it your principle in life to never ever receive a fine, you shoot yourself on the spot.

That doesn't quiet sound right, does it? Why would you never ever want to brake a human made rule? How do you know such rules are sensible? What if whoever imposes the rule does not communicate it? There is always a chance of breaking a rule because you didn't know there was one in the first place. Not exactly something to end your virtual or real life for.

Except that's not an accurate analogy. He's not shooting himself on the spot. He's getting plastic surgery, changing his name and personal information and relocating to another part of the world, then pretending he's above reproach.
