Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

The Silver Dragon returning from a sortie doing what she does best - everything all at once. An eclectic mix of missions earning 42 influence in about an hour. 4 x passenger transport, a data courier, 2 x megaship datalink scans, 2 x blackbox recoveries, 54t of synthetic meat found, 2 x pirate assassinations and destroying any opponents foolish enough to interdict. 45ly unladen jump range (Colonia Bridge CG double engineered FSD), over 2700MJ shield strength and about 70t of cargo space that could have done another haulage mission if it was available. Is there another ship that can do this much at once this quickly?

Out in the black ⚫️ I've stuck wity "smuggly" pretty much all the time.
She's not armed. But has a low emissions G5 pp thermally spread with a low profile overall result.
Seismic turreted launcher
Sub surface turreted missile launcher.
Abrasive blaster and 2 mining lasers.
Expanded probe radius dss.
G5 engineered fsd giving 37ly with a guardian fsd booster.
128ton cargo 50 limpets.
Collector (size 5) limpet (lightweight G5)
3A prospector limpet
3A refinery.
Sinks n shield boosters & a pulse wave analyser.
Size 5 low draw biweaves.
2G planetary vehicle hangar.
Net result is a quiet low temp stealthy miner bio mapper.
Precisely what I'm doing atm hehehe.

Thought I'd just do a quick settlement raid for scav takedowns. Got there, nine to eliminate (for the good of mankind). Softened them up a bit with my missile barge and went in, weapons hot.

Sniped two (I love that long-range gun) and was on my way to a third when I suddenly heard the tell-tale sound of a ship coming in. Ran for the SRV. By the time I got to it - a miracle it was still untouched - there were twenty-seven, 27! of the blighters running around.

Between the ship, SRV and my mega guns, they all went to meet their maker.

Whew. Took ages to do but great fun!

I've been slowly working my way core-ward. I'm very fixated on experiencing some high star density for some reason, and I haven't reached a dense enough section yet.

I wasn't really expecting to go as far as I have, but I'm currently in the Norma Expanse about 12,000LY from SOL, and still heading inward. I might stop in the Norma Arm -- it looks pretty dense there. Maybe move laterally after that, I don't know.

I'm just following some vague notion of being very isolated and alone in the black.

Once I find a spot I like I will settle there for a time and explore the surrounding area in some detail.

We'll see how it goes.

I have no exciting screenshots today (so far). Here's a older one I've never posted, just to keep the eye candy going :)

Gorgeous...but that could just be that I moved my PC into the livingroom last night to play on the big screen...

Amazing shot!

Have you never been to Sag A* before?
That seems unlikely.

I put 14,000 tons of it in my hold before I left. I prefer not to have to mine it. I'm using about 1000 tons per 5000 LY, so I can go quite a ways.

If I exceed that, though, then I'll have to mine or buy from a carrier or something.
14K? That makes a pretty hole in the wallet.

Perhaps I'm just too stingy to fill up my tritium tanks with that much! :D
